If you are in communion with the supreme, you are not lonely.
Medically speaking, loneliness reduces the capacity to fight with disease. It reduces the immune system. You begin to laugh. That will help.

A child should be taught early in life to enjoy his or her own company.

Otherwise, there is this feeling of "loneliness". Wilkipedia defines it as a feeling of emptiness and isolation.

I believe that loneliness is not defined nor felt the same way by everyone. I think it is cultural and individual and more related to our own self balance and inner selves rather than actual physical distance from other people.

I can be in a group of people chatting happily when the topic would touch on a memory that would take me to other times with other people, still living or had passed on, and the sense of loneliness would keep me silent for a few seconds.

So , my definition of loneliness is grief and sadness for some things or people who would never pass my way again.

Loneliness is a kind of feeling that you are empty and alone. Loneliness can be define as depression, down, sorrowful, heartbreaking, miserable and unhappy. Loneliness can be overcome by simply remembering that God loves you. Ask the Lord to fill you and He will do so. Have faith and have faith. Jesus loves you.

many poems, songs, stories written are the manifestation of loneliness.

It depends on the cause and details of the loneliness. Is this "I'm lonely 'cause all of my friends can't play right now", or, "I've been in this town for five years and never talked to one person", or, my lover died and I've never been alone".

But generically speaking, loneliness can lead to rumination on self doubt and lack of self worth, worry about being insecure and a loser. Possibly withdrawal from social situations or lack of confidence in social engagement.

Walk outside and don't return inside any structures for a
thirty-six hour period. Try some hunger, thirst, and what
chance companions you meet on your self-discovery.

Plan "B" involves a recruitment in the Armed Forces to better act on any manifest behaviors.

If you find yourself feeling alone and isolated in a room filled with your friends then you are probably lonely.
If you are alone in an empty room and choose to remain so because you are content, others may see you as lonely but, in reality you are happy keeping your own company.
Loneliness is a personal feeling and therefore it probably has as many interpretations as there are lonely people. I give you mine above, based on personal experience.
