Ok, so my AP Euro teacher gave my class a lecture on Circa 1450. I need to do a timeline on it, but history tends to get a bit boring for me so I drift off. >_<;; I try so hard to pay attention too! My notes are maybe not too good. Any information on it would be a great help! Websites too!

I'd appreciate you greatly!(:

Wow thanks! I'll decide which one is better later, but I hope for more answers!(:

Is there a specific amount of events during the Circa time? My teacher says to have events from 1450-1455. Thanks!

Key date is 1453 when the Ottoman Turks finally take Constantinople using huge siege cannons and an overwhelming number of soldiers. This date is often used to divide the Middle Ages from the Renaissance. Other interesting tidbits : Jeanne d' Arc (Joan of Arc) is captured by the Burgundians in 1430 and burned in 1431. The spineless French king she had helped did nothing to try to save her. Johannes Gutenburg is working on using movable type for printing in the ~1440 to 1454 period (difficult to pin an exact year on when he has it down). [The Chinese have had movable type for a few centuries already.] The "Hundred Years War" is said to end in 1453. The English only retain Calais on the continent. The Wars of the Roses start in England ~1455 and last about 30 years to 1485 when Henry VII (Tudor) becomes king. (He is Henry VIII's daddy.) Christopher Columbus born 1451. Hope this helps.

The important date between them is 1453,the year of conquest of Istanbul by Turks.

Turks used enormous canons to breach walls of the city which couldn't before for centuries. There were lots of city states, colonies before this date. But after seeing, thick walls cannot prevent the cities anymore, strong central empires become powerful, city states fell one after another. It changed the shape of Europe forever.
