Is this right?

I'd be enternally grateful to anyone who could tell me the title and author of this book. I'm sure it's a recently released novel and it's about two English schoolboys living in either Africa or continental Europe. One boy is described as being an orphan who is a bit plain and he is taken by his more interesting friend who has a mysterious family background. The two decide to do some investigating and things start to spill out.

It seems that the invasion of Palestine by the Jews from Europe after WW2 into Israel caused a lot of violence and hatred between neighbouring arabs and local jews that was, if not absent, at least kept under control before the 1948 war. Naturally, the Jews always wanted to get their state, lost to Egypt hundreds of years before, and had the weapons and manpower (plus US backing) to do it in 1948. But did they imagine the bloodshed it would cause until now? And what exactly did they think would happen to the displaced arabs (now known as the stateless "Palestinians") if violence were constantly used against them? Violence breeds violence, which is something the jews in Israel seem to have forgotten from the Holocaust.

What are some acting agencies? I need their address to mail them a video shot of an audtion (don't worry its professional) and I need ALOT of help! I know that you shouldn't pay for agents, and that you need a head shot and a letter of some sort (mine's below) but that's about all. How long do agents take to get back to you? I live in a really small town about an hour away from Palm Beach....... where do I find addresses to send out my letter and head shot and DVD? HELP PLEASE!!!

This is not intended as an offence, considering Arabs and Jews hate each other. However, there are many Jews in my city and I had a lot of Jewish friends in my life. I noticed that when they speak Hebrew, it sounds a lot like Arabic. They are also hot-blooded and aggressive with business (haggling and making deals all the time). Perhaps they are in fact cousins who hate each other due to historical circumstances? It seems to be similar to the connection between Poles and Russians (both Slavic, hating each other), or Japanese and Koreans (both mongol-descended Asians hating each other). Could the Jews be considered "white Arabs"?
