This is not intended as an offence, considering Arabs and Jews hate each other. However, there are many Jews in my city and I had a lot of Jewish friends in my life. I noticed that when they speak Hebrew, it sounds a lot like Arabic. They are also hot-blooded and aggressive with business (haggling and making deals all the time). Perhaps they are in fact cousins who hate each other due to historical circumstances? It seems to be similar to the connection between Poles and Russians (both Slavic, hating each other), or Japanese and Koreans (both mongol-descended Asians hating each other). Could the Jews be considered "white Arabs"?

They are a semitic people the same as the arabs. They have similar traditions e.g genital mutilation of boy babies and the same dietary laws.

I've read that some researchers into genetics have got into trouble for suggesting the same sort of thing. As far as I can see the distaste for certain foods and perhaps even the idea of monotheism is not derived from the Torah or the Koran, it is derived from a common cultural heritage, just as the Arabic and Hebrew languages are. Someone once called Arabs "Jews on horseback". By the way, Arabs may be as "white" as anybody.

The closest you could come in saying Jews were white Arabs is that they are classified as Semitic. If the language intonation of Hebrew and Arabic language sound alike it is because of the regional area where history put them. The skin color has no bearing on the description.

Hebrew and Arabic are both Semitic languages so very similar. I would not say they hate each other as an entire group.

Since I am neither Jewish, or Arab, I am not at all offended by the obtuseness of your question. I bet though, that you're going to get harangued from both sides.

As previously stated, I'm of neither denomination, and often among friends (who are also not from either back round) in conversation, some one will throw up their hands in frustration and say "They're the SAME people, I don't know why they're fighting". We don't get it.

Perhaps there are subtle, or even fundamental differences that we as outsiders to these groups are not aware of. Or, perhaps they ARE the same, and fanaticism, especially in religious ideals just causes hatred and intolerance.

It will be interesting to see the responses you get.

Your talking about a religious group (Jews) and a culture group (Arabs). You cant compare that. Arabs can be Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Bhuddist, Christian, .....

Im assuming your comparing Jews and Muslims heres. They originate from the same approximate area of the world, but they are 2 different religions and cultures. In some ways they are similar. Both being monotheistic faiths.

Well obviously langauges sound the same if you dont speak them. All oriental languages sound the same to me, it doesnt mean they are. If you understand the languages you can see they're really different.

Being hot blooded, has nothing to do with them being Jewish or Muslim. Its just that single person you know. Its their personaility, which is shaped by environment, family, friends, work, etc...

The main reason you percieve to be hate between them is because of Israel and Palestine. I live in Canada and im even pissed that the Palestinians aren't even entitled to a piece of their holy land, simply because Israel is backed by the US.

What number of Jewish pals do you surely have? Bet i've extra Jewish neighbors than you do. And each and every of them has no more than 2 kids -- most have fewer. According to Jewish regulation, youngsters of combined marriages are Jewish only if the mother IS JEWISH. They aren't mechanically Jewish. Correctly, most kids of 1 Jewish guardian and one non-Jewish dad or mum in general remember themselves not Jewish. It can be so much easier to belong to the bulk workforce. And, with a mere 7 million Jews n the US, Judaism is without doubt a minority religion. Haplogroups be damned. And 'white' , 'black', 'yellow' be damned. Are not able to we all just be humans?? Why are you trying to fire up obstacle?

Hebrew sounds nothing like Arabic to my ears, but yes, there are some similar words in both languages, from what I've read.

And aren't there many cultures that have the "haggling and making deals" thing?

Arabs and Jews are technically white. They are in the minority with religion in the US, but are still Caucasian.
