I am 12 years old. I know the basics, and a few chords. I have picked up an acoustic and played a little bit before, but not too much. I'm hoping to find a used guitar under 100$ with good sound. Anyone know where I should look? Thanks!

In the Tales of Beetle and Bard that Hermione received from Dumbledore....there is a fable about three brothers.... Each brother asks or gets a special gift... that they think will make them more powerful.... sort of like the three little pigs... What is the tale... I forget.... and/or what is the significance of each gift/wish that each brother gets... One is like the wand... one, like the cloak.???... etc....Anything you can think of and can let me know would be appreciated....

I am just curious as to ways you think he did or did not. Do you think the storyline follows historical conditions and experiences of that era? I think it does but it is a book and on some level, it was made to be entertainment, not a textbook. So how much is unrealistic or exaggerated? Thanks for your thoughts!

PS. My question is my thesis question for an essay I am writing. Do you think this is a strong thesis? Any suggestions for my essay?

I bought a Kodak digital camera and I have since realized that I really enjoy taking photographs and looking at them. My camera is not the best nor the worse, a 6.1 megapixel with some advance settings. I have been to places (mostly at night) with beautiful scenes or landscapes but unfortunately, haven't been able to capture them in my pictures. Of course I only use the regular settings of the camera because I know little of what "aperture, shutter speed" and such terms mean, when applied to different sets of pictures. Can anybody help me understand how to take quality pictures with my digital camera? For darker settings, such as indoor and outdoor night situations, or people in movement specially!! I would really apreciate it!!

In my eyes, you can see so much melancholy, and nostalgia, you can see lot of love, for the people, and will to carry on, in my eyes you can see the hope to change my life, and the desire to see the light and the Sunshine, for my Family... and in your eyes ?

I saw you the other day
It had been so long
Once filled with inspiration and grace
It was clear you had fell on your face
Your dreams have become nightmares
The world you live in is your own personal hell
The rafters that hang over you have begun to give way
Like the sunset on a clear autumn day
You wonder will there be a tomorrow?
Or will today be the day
You’ve protected the ones who own you
You have ridiculed the ones who care
Sitting in that office you often wonder
“Who’s crazier you or the patients?”
They seem so carefree, while you are consumed.
I asked why it has come to this.
You paused for a moment before answering “I thought it was best”
You say the right things but you fail the test
You wonder why he left so long ago
Now you care for a kid that burdens your soul
You began to cry. Tears streamed down your cheek
Like rain on a window pane
I asked why you cry. It seems like you have brought this on yourself.
You looked at me, shocked I was not sympathetic
I said sympathy is for the feeble
You are just naïve
You thought there was good in everyone
This is where you were wrong.
What’s it like when reality slaps you in the face?
When you have spat on everyone who cared
Now you want help
Now you inquire for my opinion
I believe my opinions counts for very little but if you must
You were a could have been, a should have been however;
Unfortunately you are and will always be a
Never Was.

My paternal great great grandfather was a black Nova Scotian businessman named George Davis and he was doing business in Nigeria, when he fathered my great grandma Milicent Davis in 1900. I have checked the Nova Scotia Records and Management website for his birth certificate and have found only age records on the Black Loyalists (who incidentally are also ancestors of the Krios). I do not know if my ancestor was a Black Nova Scotian of African American descent or of Caribbeanbut I know for a fact he had slave ancestry. Is it possible that Black Nova Scotians never recorded their childrens births? How can I find information on my ancestor George Davis?

Hey,

so there are plenty of books, such as Gossip Girls, A-list, the It-Girl- novels plus all these kinds of "light literature", for young people. Usually they give such a bad example so that is why I was just wondering why most people think it's totally acceptable? I read these kinds of books myself, but.. Just wondering. : )

Since i don't see an archeology category allow me to ask here.

I saw some articles in the about this issue. Some people say that the ancient Greeks reached the shores of America during or before the Mycenaean times. They say that there are architectural and linguistic similarities with the ancient American cultures like the Mayans and that many known ancient Greek texts are mentioning land and cultures west of the Atlantic. I saw that there is even a book by an American archaeologist (Henriette Mertz ) which supports this theory. Has anyone an opinion about this issue?
