I'm gonna catch a David Sedaris reading next month - the venue is going to be an opera house... pretty interesting. Anyone caught any of his appearances in this tour?

David Sedaris is awesome in person. I attended a booksigning and discussion of his but I'm sure an opera house is a much more interesting venue.

David Sedaris is at the very top of my short list.
James Thurber is essential.
Mark Twain, timeless.
If I could give you four, I'd include Terry Pratchett.
Plus Leonard Q. Ross.
Chuck Palahniuk for dark, disturbing humor.

Silly question: ask me for a top 50 or even a top 20 list and I might begin to narrow down the list--with difficulty. Top 3? Impossible.
