So, I had a bet going on with a friend of mine. I said, "most people have read Moby Dick" she said I was wrong -

So I asked quite a few people where this line came from, "Call me Ishmeal" - and no one could tell me.

So, I want to know, how many of you read Moby Dick, yes or no? If yes, tell me what you liked or disliked about it?

A friend is wanting to get a tatoo. Here's my best description: black outlined triangle. Inside the triangle the background is what appears to be a flag. There are 5 horizontal stripes on the flag. Three are green and two are yellow. They go in order G Y G Y G. In the center of the "flag" is a 5-pointed star, pointing downward.

I don't have ANY idea what these mean.

I may be WRONG, but I think the green and yellow stripes are some sort of flag.

I want to go to a good preforming arts college but I dont know where or how to start looking for one. Does anyone know the steps to get into a good school or how to help me find a school? Recently visited Ka Lea, on the island of Hawaii. It is the southern most point in the United States. It is obvious that at one point there was a rather substantial community there. I'm thinking it may have been a military installation of some kind. There weren't any Japanese internment camps in HI - that was my husband's thought. I've tried Google, but can't find anything.

I loved reading HP, the Twilight series, etc. I also read romantic comedies like Jennifer Crusie and fantasy like Sara Douglass. When I was younger I loved the Chronicles of Narnia and anything by Lloyd Alexander. Can anyone suggest some other kinds of books I might like to read?
