try the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, it gets a bit long at times but I like it. And not that it matters but all the books have gotten great reviews so far. And this isn't really related to HP or Twilight (both of which I absolutely love) but I've also enjoyed This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen and other books by her (it is in a way like Twilight and New Moon I guess) and also for fans of HP there is Eragon and Eldest. I'd also try anything by Mercedes Lackey, she's really good.

Ok I saw someone mention Lord the Rings and if you can stand the constant drawn out descriptions (Like the exact number of ants in an oak tree that was sad because it has only 247 ants and it's neighbor had 348 ants who really didn't care about the trees because winter was coming and they only had enough food for half the winter which was going to be the coldest winter ever and that would make the trees die and then so would the ants) then it's a great read.
Personally I loved the Xanth series by Piers Anthony for a long time but the books got old after a bit. The Apprentice Adept series by him is a grest series too. Mercedes Lackey is also a great author like the Jousters series, the Black Swan, The Fire Rose and the Mage Wars (I think that's the series the first book is The Black Gryphon). They did a collaboration called "If I Pay Thee Not in Gold" but I think it's out of print and hard to find. Also Carol Berg has the Bridge of D'Arnath series and the Rai'kirah series...
If you can't tell by now, I read a lot.

Diana Wynne Jones is a fantastic fantasy writer. Most of her stuff is YA. I love A Tale of Time City, because it was the first one I read. The Chrestomanci series is quite good, and Deep Secret.
I also really enjoy reading Jennifer Crusie's books! Another romance writer I enjoy is Marian Keyes, especially Last Chance Saloon, Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married, and The Other Side of the Story. She's Irish, so its a little culture reading her books, and she can get a bit dark, but there are always happy endings.

If you are a science fiction and fantasy book lover, you might like "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman which will unlock a magical world full of demons and winged creatures living alongside humans. Another would be the book I will be reading next which is "Slaughterhouse-Five" by Kurt Vonnegut where you will follow Billy Pilgrim, the main character who gets abducted by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore--I know this sounds boring, but it gets more interesting as experiencde through Billy what it is like to be an American prisoner of war who witnesses a profound event. If you like J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of "The Lord of the Rings", which you should read if you haven't, you might want to give his book "The Children of Hurin" a try, which will give you another "Lord of the Rings" experience. If you like classics, "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell is a must read for a science fiction and fantasy lover. I hope this helps.

You might enjoy Eragon. And the collections of books written by Terry Brooks & Anne McCaffrey.
You mentioned you also like romantic comedies, you might like Nora Roberts 3 Sisters trilogy & her Circle Trilogy...both series are romantic fantasy (the first trilogy being witchcraft, the second involving alternate worlds, vampires, wizardry etc)..While these are not overly comedic, Roberts interspersed funny scenes throughout these novels.
Happy Reading!!

You would probably like The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Its like 7 books and really full of that magical/fantasy/sci-fi sort of stuff. There is even a mention of Harry Potter in the seventh book. I don't usually read that sort of stuff and had been avoiding The Dark Tower even though I love Stephen King, but it's been really good.
