So far people seem content to out source our myths to off planet UFO sources.
No more underground or water based creatures, or home grown divergences from the tree of life.
Do you agree?

The following poem is from Leaves of Grass, by Walt Whitman. I know that the interpretation of a poem differs from individual to individual, but I just wish to gather others' opinions.

I Was Looking A Long While

I was looking a long while for Intentions,
For a clew to the history of the past for myself, and for
these chants--and now I have found it,
It is not in those paged fables in the libraries, (them I
neither accept nor reject,)
It is no more in the legends than in all else,
It is in the present--it is this earth to-day,
It is in Democracy--(the purport and aim of all the past,)
It is the life of one man or one woman to-day--the average
man of to-day,
It is in languages, social customs, literatures, arts,
It is in the broad show of artificial things, ships, machinery,
politics, creeds, modern improvements, and the
interchange of nations,
All for the modern--all for the average man of to-day.

Alright, I'm kind of lost, so can someone please give me some advice?

I'm 15, I live in Orlando, and I'm ready to get more serious about acting . . .

I've done about 5 local musicals (some with a really well known theater group), 1 school play, and I've taken afterschool drama programs at my schools, an acting class, and voice lessons for about a year (until I did my last musical for a group out near Universal where I had a lead)

Does anyone have any advice for this high school student? Due to other classes conflicting, I can't take drama in school, but I am ready to take the next step in acting - any suggestion what that should be?
My biggest problem is that I cannot do a play in the fall, but I would love to maybe get an agent or something that would unltimately help me get an agent in the future, or at least help me advance.

Thanks in advance!

I have all these thoughts
running thru my head
like a busy manhattan street
with no lights red
my moods are changing
at a fast unsteady rate
I'm miserable,I'm happy
I'm tired,I'm great
my mind is literally wearing me out
but I am not done yet
it won't knock me out
the bell has rung
time for another round
I will do everything I can
not to fall down
one on one my ill mind
is undefeated
but I've promised myself
I will beat it

Hi, I really want to act, and I think acting in a theatre would help me with acting, and I just wanted to know if there arre any open auditions for the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. I'm 13 years old.

I read an article recently saying that in years to come there will be technology to cut up a deceased persons brain and scan it: effectively "downloading" the mind into the computer according to the article.

Now imagine a person named bob ok. He lives and he dies. They take his brain out of his head cut up and scan it to "download" his mind to the computer.

Would you still consider this thing in the machine to be bob? or just a copy that his experences in mind? and claims to be him? but the real bob died and all that his left is this computer that thinks its him.

The article insinuated that when your brain got scanned and made a replica of you in a computer that thing would be you yourself not a copy?

But does anyone else think that will merely be a replica? and not actually "you"?

I've been doing ballet for 4 years and jazz for 5.
Ballet lessons = 2 hours per week.
Jazz lessons = 2 hours per week.

I practise for an hour each day.

Should I take more classes (E.g. Lyrical, tap) or should I just stick with jazz & ballet ?

One that has many of them in one book?

I remember reading one once that had a red and gold cover, and had beautiful illustrations. the pages printed with decorations of gold leaf. I'm looking for this particular copy, if anyone can help.

Smile Forever
By Semper Fi 83

I would give anything,
To see you smile forever.
What kind of glue could I use,
To keep you and me stuck together?

You are the sunshine,
That brightens up my sky.
I know how Adam felt,
Cause you're the apple of my eye.

No pun intended,
You'd never feed me sin.
You're the woman that I married,
My precious Jacqueline.

More than a song,
You're more like my soundtrack.
When things go wrong,
I know you have my back,
My front, my sides,
You have everything covered.
More than my wife,
You're my friend and my lover!

What can I do to make you smile forever?
