Shopaholic Books by Sophie Kinsella. When I worked at a bookstore, and people would ask me for a good summer read, I would always direct them to that series. They would buy the first one, and I would see them coming back to buy the others. They are just light, funny, not have to think to much, reading. Have fun with whatever you do choose to read!

This whole summer I've been reading a lot. Not necessarily books my level that I really should be reading from an academic perspective, but books that I never got around to. If you've never read "Go Ask Alice," I really enjoyed that book.
I also like to try and read the classics. My future reading endeavors include Jack Kerouac, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Mark Twain, the Bronte sisters, and so much more that I just can't think of at the top of my head. You can look it up online, and see which author's writing subjects would interest you the most. I don't know, it's just an idea, and it'll help you to become a more cultured person. :)

How old are you? This makes a huge difference in what I recommend. Also, what genre or types of books do you enjoy?
Edit: I saw on your profile you are a nurse. So, that gives me a bracket to recommend books. Here goes:
The Next Thing on My List - Jill Smolinski
One for the Money - Janet Evanovich
Fishbowl - Sarah Mlynowski
Pretty Little Mistakes - Heather McElhatton

It would help if you gave us some idea of your age and your interests, but here goes anyway:

Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, and a short review of each book.
I hope this helps.
