Shame on me for not being sure anymore! But after 50 + years, one's mind does tend to forget some of the most memorable events in America. I think it was Patrick Henry?

I was assigned an art project of something that i saw or experienced that inpacted me while I was in Spain. I decided to paint a flamenco dancer and a bull. I enjoyed painting it but i dont know if its any good. This is my first time drawing and attempting to paint and was wondering if i have any talent before i go and buy all the art stuff.

Bull: this was my practice before going on canvas with the dancer since ive never painted before

I have heard of mercenaries such as Mad Mike, who operated in the Congo and related parts of Africa throughout the 50s-70s.

Who employed these mercenaries, why were they in Africa at all, who were they fighting and did their actions achieve anything? Why were not regular armies used instead of hired guns? From the perspective of western Europe were these mercenaries 'good' or 'bad' guys (in simple terms of public opinion), and did teir actions have any impact upon the old colonial powers of the UK/ Belgium etc?

I am just intrigued as to why small bands of (mainly white European) disillusioned WW2 veterans were floating around the Godforsaken jungle!

Thanks

In the Napoleonic wars, the English troops walked toward the enemy, taking all cannon fire, not faltering their stride. But why did they not run, and get too close to the cannons more quickly to have less casualties?

I suspect that it is to do with trying to draw the enemy out, by going slow and encouraging them onward with the casualties that were visible from the cannon fire.

They are 2 and 4 years old, and really cute (I am being honest, not just a mom!) and they love to be photographed, so I think they will be great fot tv commercials, but all the agencies I have checked, they charge so much money, any agency out there that works without asking money in advance or at least doesn't charge that much??? Thanks!!

I was recently at an event that was in a dimly-lit hall, and I took pictures with my Sony DSC-T10 digital camera. The pictures come out better when taken with no flash, but only if the camera is held extremely steadily. How can I make pics come out clearer on the no-flash setting? It's pretty hard to keep the camera steady, so there is always some blurriness. Would a faster shutter speed work? Or, is there any way to improve this on the Sony digital cameras?

Thanks for your help!

Or can we be just as intelligent, free, and powerful with it.

Aren't we more free today because the Stuarts and their "divine right of kings" was stopped by William and Mary?

Nobody can excuse the oppression of Protestant Irish against the Catholic Irish, but in the larger context, Ireland as well as Britain and America are all more free societies today because of the defeat of the Stuarts - so shouldn't we ALL celebrate the Orange triumph?

Would anybody - whether in Ireland or anywhere else - prefer to go back to the kind of society in which priestly power controls the way you think and speak and write?

Irish people can take pride in a culture that produced Samuel Beckett, W. B. Yeats, Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift and George Bernard Shaw - and isn't it only within a free society that such genius can arise and flourish?

If it had not been for the victory of King William at the Battle of the Boyne, wouldn't Ireland today be just another pathetic sinkhole of Roman Catholic-ruled misery and squalor like some Latin American banana republic?

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit=1 God born as a man to die for our sin, take the burdens away, so we could live again. Get real wit it, and yo start to feel it, Jesus Christ. He is your life. He is not dealin, But forever in your life you accept Him and He will be healin.
