They are 2 and 4 years old, and really cute (I am being honest, not just a mom!) and they love to be photographed, so I think they will be great fot tv commercials, but all the agencies I have checked, they charge so much money, any agency out there that works without asking money in advance or at least doesn't charge that much??? Any agency that charges money up front is a scam. Go get a copy of the Ross Reports, it's a complete listing of legit agents and films accepting mail-ins right now. Do not pay anyone upfront for anything. They try to get you to pay for headshots using their own photographer but don't. If you need headshots, search around for a true photographer that knows what they are doing and has experience in headshots
. Agents don't make money unless you do by getting a job they've booked for you, then they take out 10%.

I agree that you are in the happy place to learn. There is a periodical called Backstage West that you can subscribe in print or online form. There have articles about your question and the SAG office online can also help give a list of legitimate talent agencies if you're kids are lucky enough to be booked on a union job and can get into SAG.
An agent only takes a commission for a booked job. What will cost you plenty upfront is photos. Check out Actors Access to see what the photos look like that the casting agents prefer. Make sure your photog shoots DIGITAL.
And of course, your kids can take an inexpensive summer class at some local schools or even some of the community colleges to see if they even like acting.
Beware of expensive workshops or agents who insist on an expensive photog. There are also play auditions your kids can go to which are less traumatic than commercial / tv auditions to see if you like prepping them and hauling them around to appointments.
I'd say most kids interested in performing should become well rounded, take a cheap dance class, improv class, singing class, etc. and see if they become more or less enthused. Best of luck. PS: you can take some classes too (some stage Moms are really secret performers themselves).

Are you sure? You want this... but do they? Do you understand that this is very hard work? Forgive me please... but cute's not enough. Do your children sit still and behave for hours on end? I know mine didn't:))) Sitting for print ads is one thing... tv commercials (interacting with others, taking orders, over and over and over again, etc.) is quite another. I'm sure your babies are beautiful:))) Let them be children and just enjoy them!
