You can't choose anything from the Bible/Torah/Koran. That's too easy. You also can't choose anything having to do with a family relative who was alive while you have been alive - again, that's too easy. I want some real though put in to this.

For me, it would be Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.

What would yours be?

I am 13 years old and I live in Cyprus. My dream is to be an actor. I am really good at acting! The problem is Cyprus. As I told you my dream is to be an actor but not here in my country. In the USA. Today there was the ONLY audition for a movie in Hollywood herr I though if I pass I would continue my career in Hollywood! However, when I finished the audition I hear from the woman "Thank You" Just that! I acted that everything was OK. I was kinda shocked for a few seconds. Then I say: "Thank You" and I left. All the day I was acting that everything was OK but from the moment I heard the woman seying just "Thank You" at once all my dreams crashed..I mean that was the only way to get into Hollywood and I LOST IT! From 100 people I lost the role! Yeah, about 100 people auditioned. But, I am so crashed. i feel like I will never be an actor! And acting and music are my only interests in the world! How can I pass this and how will I become an actor under these situations? :'(

what does an apology have to consist?
if i did something without any knowledge of its impact (infact, it wasn't immoral) but it does affect/anger the other person
i apologised. but in the process, i explained my intentions and my lack of knowledge and i also said i would change and not do it again.
and he wouldn't accept my apology claiming it was insincere because i kept making excuses and justifications for my auctions.
but just because i do have justifications for my actions, it doesn't mean i cannot feel remorse? i just wanted him to understand where i was coming from, because i understood where he was coming from. and even though i don't think i personally did anything wrong, the fact that it angered him and affected him, makes me not want to do it again.
so does that mean i'm not sorry? or does it mean i am?
i mean an easy analogy of what i did was like i'm walking on a crowded street behind a friend and someone behind was pushing me and i accidentally fell out my friend.

This story was a conceptual gem. Late seventies to early eighties. You know concept stories -- years later they're still grabbing you, but you've forgotten the author. The story was about some ants from another planet (there is space-travel now) who can be bought and had as pets. You put them in your living room in a giant ant-farm terrarium and the ants, who are large, begin making glubular bricks and building an enormous statue of you, very life-like, which they commence to bow down to and bring ceremonial gifts to every day.
The protagonist mistreats his ants, and slowly, over time, his statue gets less and less flattering, and finally turns ugly or something.

When death plagues us we're like every other living species, and those underneath the foodchain feeds off of our decomposing bodies. With how superior human beings have come to be, with basically, well, "ruling the world", do you feel as if it's like.. all that work, hardship, emotion, battles, accomplishments, ..are for nothing?

Do you think that there's something greater for us, or that we're just like the ants hussling around to survive and gather food and reproduce so that another some million of its kind can keep doing the process?

I mean, like anyone else I feel sad when on the subject of death because it's something that's unknown. If being in death is just like, well, feeling, smelling, seeing, hearing, sensing nothing.. it kind of questions the purpose of life. And how far we've come... and how late it is to take back everything.
