Point one King John gave the people of England Magna Carta.

He was not forced into sighing any thing, Just had a bad press so to speak, That's down to the legend of Robin Hood and our taste for making Heroes out of Baddies, ( But our current leaders have there fingers crossed).

Point 2
Kings of England did not sign anything they put a Royal Seal on it..

Hope that's of help.

The document was the Magna Carta, forced upon the king by his uncontrollable barons. Contrary to popular belief, it was not signed by King John. He was illiterate.

Magna carta. I recently visited King John's tomb in Worcester Cathedral. If you are able it is worth a visit. Prince Arthur is also buried there, older brother of Henry VIII.
