i have an account on DeviantArt.com

www.klsart.deviantart.com

but i talked to some people there, and they say that no one ever buys anything off that site. not even from the better photographers. and their payment situation is very strange with too. and just to let u know, myspace is not an option, either is ebay (i dont have a credit card) or craigslist (face it, no one will looks for photography there) so...whats the best way for people to notice to my pictures? and my talent. i am very serious about this. no stupid answers. dont waste my time. this could become my career! haha. thanks!

If you are really serious, submit your photographs to various magazines and newspapers and if they like them, they will pay you.

Another option is to enter some contests and if your photographs are selected, you will be in demand.

A website will be useful later.

Try setting up your own site on Myspace or Tagworld (which a large amount of artists use) and load them up to a free imaging service such as photobucket or flicker. On your site, let people know that they can purchase your prints. Make sure that you setup a price list for the specific sizes of prints. On Flicker they have a way to copyright your own images so that no one can download them without a copyright protection showing up. Read up on how to setup a studio/own photography business to help you establish your prices. Remember to include developing costs, framing cost, labor (how long you took to shot that image). Minimum charge is always at least 1 hour if not more. Ask local professional photographers how much they charge by the hour to get an idea. You probably won't want to charge as much as they do because you are starting out, but as you develop then upgrade your price
Good luck

Are there any coffee shops or restaurants in your area that display artwork? There's a few coffee shops in my city that have a different photographer display and sell their work every month... I'll bet there are places like that wherever you are...

And once you've done that you'll have a better chance of showing something at a gallery and then going from there...
