This question centers on "forbidden information", concepts or ideas you think society should not be exposed to. Try NOT to include ideas of situational appropriateness - like the Disney channel showing an R rated movie. You can normally view the R rated movie elsewhere. This question deals with humanity as a whole. Are there any types of information that you believe society should not be allowed to see? If so, what is your justification.

I don't mean to sound snarky- just these questions arise here every day- I wish there was a way to just direct them once and for all. Or maybe split the forum into resources for kids looking to break into show biz and working actors w/ questions for our peers....

I swear- I don't mean to sound snobby and elitist.

i'm floating in an empty sea
this is the last place you left me

tomorrow shall not come to me
nor shine is newfound rays upon me

i'm floating in an empty sea
and i'm the only one it sees

it is a sea of my own misery
a wall you've helped build around me

i'm floating in an empty sea
tied to the bottom with a broken string

i'll never know what really happened to me
or where i've gone or things i've seen
for you took all of me-

i'm floating in an empty sea
this is the last place that you left me

You have a life
I have none
Except for the one
With you.

You have a family
I have none
Except for the one
I knew

Starting over ain't easy
I wonder what you'd do
And if some way, some how
Could I make it easy for you?

Could I understand your dreams
If you cried in the night
Or if you begged for understanding
And prayed for just a light

It's not the cold or the weather
Whether or not I stay
It's just that I need to make it
And see the light of day

So give me just a chance
To only be myself
Let's put the past behind us
Let's place it on a shelf

And everynow and then
We'll pull it off and look
We'll read it carefully and then
Close the cover on the book

This year for a production that I 'm in at college the theme is going to be the wild/animals. The group is a lyrical dance group and I am planning on choreographing a number for our group but I'm having a difficult time finding a song that both fits the theme, is age level appropriate, and that I like. Any suggestions??

guys tell me what u think about this piece of art that was displayed at a museum in western Denmark:

The art display at the small museum in western Denmark features 10 goldfish, each swimming in its own blender. The catch: Each blender can be turned on, depending on the viewer's whim.

The display, which opened Friday, has caused outrage among animal rights activists and drawn unusually large crowds to the Trapholt Art Museum. Two fish were blended at the opening, and police ordered the plugs pulled after a local group, the Union for the Protection of Animals, complained Museum director Peter Meyer said five more fish were blended on Sunday.

The museum in Kolding, 125 miles west of Copenhagen, is one of many smaller art exhibirtor in the Nordic country. It draws about 80000 visitors each year. This weekend, though, it had 1000 curious visitors - a very high off-season number, Meyer said.

i received a mail that the plot of harry potter 7 goes like this:
dumbledore returns from the dead.
neville longbottom is a death eater and is one of many students recruited by voldemort to do his evil deed.
he tries to kill harry.
harry is given a map to the immortal potion which is sought by voldemort.
malfoy turns good and is in love with ginny weasly. harry and malfoy become friends.
ron becomes a warewolf.
finally voldemort attacks hogwarts and it is revealed that dumbledore is the master of voldemort and is the true evil lord. he admits to killing harry's parents.
in the end harry potter kills dumbledore.

anybody has any idea if this plot is true ?

Hey there! I'm an Indian... and if I had to choose symbols to represent my country, I know what I'd pick. Stuff like the Taj Mahal, a Bharatnatyam dancer, a tiger (national animal), letters in hindi. But I'd like to make a bookmark, incorporating symbols that are close to the Balinese culture. I'd be grateful for help, especially from balinese themselves!

I want to initiate an open-source style project to design an advanced (animated) GUI for a new application. No initial commercial ambitions...just an ambition/curiosity of mine.

I would like to start with artists / graphic designers instead of coders because I really want to 'think outside the box' on the interface. (i.e. probably initially break all known GUI / windowing rules most coders know and love).

Most sites (like Sourceforge) seem oriented to coders rather than designers. I am not a designer myself, so I do not know where they hang out and where I could recruit some to the project.

A sourceforge for designers would be ideal, but I have a feeling it does not exist.

Any ideas on sites where I could start would be appreciated! I have beginner - intermediate knowledge on the open source concept itself, so anywhere I could do some more self-education on that would be great too.

Thanks in advance!
