I don't mean to sound snarky- just these questions arise here every day- I wish there was a way to just direct them once and for all. Or maybe split the forum into resources for kids looking to break into show biz and working actors w/ questions for our peers....

I swear- I don't mean to sound snobby and elitist.

Or at least look at the "answered questions" first and see that it's been answered every day since God was born.

I'm not suggesting we be rude to them- or stone them or somthing, just point them to the same link. I think it's best to learn the lesson that doing research is imperitive for an actor early on- ie, look up the answered questions. What favors are we doing them by making allowances the rest of the world wont? When I wanted to be an actor, I went out and did it the hard way. Most of these kids want o know the quickest, most painless way to get famous. Nertz to that. There. Soapbox being put away under my bed. I live to fight another day.

I agree with the other answers. I ask a lot of questions on here but I always check to see if someone has already asked it so I don't give up my points. they should do the same. that question has been asked hundreds of times and they should find something if they try. my opinion is, if they wont try, they are probably not dedicated enough to get on Disney channel.

You're right. This could be put to much better use. I think we all should give them truthful answers. The answer being "You can't so forget it." I think we could ask for Yahoo to put a separate kids section. What I hate most is when a kid answers another kids question with something ridiculous. Yes, we were all kids once. But I never thought I could just get on a TV show. We can get these kids off of here one at a time by telling them the truth. I once posted a tirade that included a line about how legit modeling and talent agencies don't employ talent scouts. An adult no less told me I was wrong and Barbizon does it all the time. There really isn't a lot we can do about this. The masses are a&&es. The few of us who know a thing or two just need to stick together. BTW does anybody know how I can get an agent. It's been my dream to be an actor and I need to know how to start. I soooooooooooo want this. Can anybody help? I have an interview with John Robert Powers. Are they any good? Can anybody tell me how I can audition for CSI? Any of them would be good. Thanks.

I've already suggested it, but to no avail. And even if we did, they would ask anyway because most think that their question is still somehow different and yes it is a bit annoying that they don't search for questions that have already been asked but do we really expect that from most kids of that age? :-) I still think we should do our best not to be rude... if we don't have anything nice or helpful to say then just don't answer. I'm sure I've had my share of somewhat snippy remarks... just depends on what side of the bed I got up on! Sorry! But seriously, weren't we all in their shoes at one time in our lives? Maybe it wasn't Disney Channel, but Fame? or Silver Spoons? or something like that? Come on, it's obvious who here are the experienced adults and who are the children. At least I think it is. I don't think it's nice to give rude or false information, just don't answer if you're tired of it at the moment and don't feel like being helpful. I'm going to type up a standard reply someday soon and just copy and paste so that it's still helpful and hopefully not rude even though I may be rolling my eyes a bit at the question that's been asked 30 times that day already. These kids really want to know what to do. If you post a question, don't you want real answers and not 'smart' comments? Just put yourself in their shoes and have a heart.

I actually borrowed another answer I saw here awhile ago as an answer to "How do I get on the Disney Channel?", but I stopped giving it because I couldn't keep up.

My favorite is "How do I become Famous?"

Seriously? Because there is actually quite a bit you can do if you simply want to be famous... and most of them aren't pretty.

And don't even get me started on those who just want to act because of the fame, and not because they love the craft! Honestly, if you think there's a 1-2-3 quick and easy way to become a successful actor that you can find on Yahoo answers, I have a bridge to sell you...

I guess the old "hard work pays off" addage doesn't apply if you are under the age of 15...

You aren't. I am personally sick of the kids that pop up on here looking for how to be on the Disney Channel. It's quite annoying when this forum could be used for such better questions. I wish they would do the research or actually read a book on acting and learn something.

I really sympathize with the offices that have so much fan stuff.
The artists themselves that can afford these services have
almost no internet due to the raging costs of securities. Although the scans did save lives, the work load itself is not for
complainers and politics. This kind of work is well handled by such sites as sponsors. For offices, the only real answer is chose
some sponsors that you will be keeping upgraded when you
refer. here is one that is ok http://www.discoverychannel.com

I tell them to go to Disney.com. At least it keeps them busy. They won't find anything on it related to their question . . .

I don't mind helping those that have an interest in becoming an actor, but, I'm tired of answering questions asking
"How do I get an Agent," when they have never taken an acting class!

Or, the worst, those that want to contact Spielberg with their "brilliant idea," for a script! Or those that want to want to publish their novel!

You tell them to go to acting school and apply to plays, theatre, etc. Act, act act!! An agent, ultimately, can get them that break. They must avoid modeling agencies--they just want money for overpriced photos!!
