Ranking the 3 brands you mentioned, I would rank Yamaha first, then Armstrong, and DEAD LAST, Jupiter!
As a flute teacher, I can say from experience that Jupiter flutes just don't hold up. Their sound gets airy pretty fast, and it's hard to fix. I personally play a Yamaha, and highly recommend that brand!!!

i know you said dont mention any other brands, but if you are looking for something of really great quality but not overly expensive, the US made Trevor James flute is supposed to be VERY good. the flute teacher at URI strongly recomends them. look into them, i know the allow you to try a couple different flutes at the same time( they will ship them to you) so you can make a decision
but out of those- i really like my jupiter flute that i have, but yamaha may be better now than they were before

Definately Yamaha....Jupiter does make a great trumpet but their flutes are a bit dodgy. I'm not that familiar with Armstrong, so I can't say either way. Yamaha is a steady, dependable brand for any instrument and you won't be sorry you bought it! There are other brands out there, and I won't mention them, but check out woodwind and brasswind. If it is a professional model you want, there are some good options here! good luck. http://www.wwbw.com/Search/Default.aspx?Ne=4294940200&N=61+4294900173
