Okay, Im deciding to write a story but I need a name for the mom. (Im not good with deciding names..)

She's going to be VERY professional, and have barely any of the mom qualities. So, whats a good name for a very accomplished and business-like woman?

Thanks <33

I know most of the parts on the guitar, but I'm still having a few problems. I know the strings on the neck help to produce the notes, but are there names for the sections in between the frets? I'm so confused.
Also, if you know any sites on the internet or books to read that would help. Thanks!

Why are so many of my family missing from the 1901 census? It's a mix of men and women so they can't all be off at a war or something.

I have some summer reading for school but I also want to read some books for pleasure. Does anyone know any good books for a fifteen year old girl? I want a book that keeps the reader going until they have finished the book because I do get sidetracked a lot. I really liked the catcher in the rye because it was an easy read and it also made you think a lot. Does anyone know any books like that?

These are the books for my summer reading and I only have to read one. I want to read something that is an easy read but also is very interesting. If you have read these books yourself, please give me your opinion and which book you think would be worth reading. Thanks!

A lesson before dying -Ernest J. Gaines

The Bean Trees- Barbara Kingsolver

Devil in the White City- Erik larson

Hey guys I'm thinking of a short story or novella but for the life of me can't remember what it's called. Most likely it's written by Steven King because the time I read the story I'm thinking of I was working through some of his books...but I still can't remember what it's called!

Basic plot is there's this man who owns a business that looks like a business on the outside, he goes in and then there's some type of a secret passage to another office where he changes clothes to look like some sort of army officer. Then he goes to a hotel or something and changes clothes yet again to look like a bum. He does this all to conceal his idenitity and then he sits on the street corner disguised as a shamed homeless vetran and makes a whole lot of money. On the outside he's a respectable business man but he is really just a fraud.

Has anyone else read this and remember what it's called? Thanks!

Personally I love Ancient Egypt (everything about it)
Alexander the Great, and I really like the period of 1900-1950,I find this classy era very appealing and some great history and stories eg the time of Al Capone and Eliot Ness (The Untouchables).
And is there any Historical figures you like too?

The Garth Nix trilogy- Sabriel, Lireal, Abhorsen. The Nine Great Charters:

One- Crown
Two- Abhorsen
Three- Stones/Wall
Four- Clayr
Five- Stones/Wall
Six- ????
Seven- Dog, I think....
Eight- Mogget (Yrael)
Nine- Destroyer (Orrannis)

Of the Nine Great Charters.... what's the sixth? And do they have any correlation to the bells? Becaue Dog is "what's left of Kibeth, in a watered-down sort of way" and they meet the Sorrowfull in the well under the Abhorsen's house.... explanations/help??? this is the only thing about those books I don't like.

Anyone know this Heinlein story--I ran across a reference to it, but just the quote/scene from the end--they find the man who met the aliens dead, and he scratched into his skin with his fingernails: "Creation took eight days." Very frustrating--I thought I'd read all of his, but I guess not!

Science aside (reason I did not ask this in the science section), why do those that choose the literal biblical view not take into account a humans greed.... Let me explain.

As a scientist, the more interesting an experiment or observation the more "famous" you are in the scientific community. The really great theories are published in books and talked about all the time then taught to generations of schools children who learn the name Einstien, Boyle etc. So, do creationists believe that scientist are not trying to disprove evolution? Rather than be world renound as the scientist that disproved evolution, they would rather be a follower and hide away some great piece of evidence in favor of something else? All science and religion aside, does this idea make sense to creationists?
