A match is a consumable tool for producing fire

A candle is a light source

A torch was a portable source of fire used as a source of light

So, if usefulness (utility) is the goal, one would want to be a torch, but the matchstick invokes ignition, a sudden light in the middle of darkness, sudden fire in the middle of nothingness.
If God is the light, I want to be one of his/her matchsticks.

Matchstick. Definitely. :)

I wouldnt want to be a candle because a candle is something that needs to be lite from an outside source (i.e. in this case the matchstick...)...and i just cant be someone who´s dependant on another for life and happiness...i dont want to be that kind of person....and a torch to me is just a bigger and more glamourous version of a candle...so i would much rather be the matchstick, on any day. :)

Since a candle isn't dependent on just a matchstick or a torch, I'd rather be a candle. I think it would FEEL good to be a candle. Have that little flickering flame on my head, giving soft light, also preferably a scented candle. They're so symbolic. I used to light candles in the cathedral near where I lived; there were banks of little blue votive candles. Just one candle is like the center, the focus of the room. The wax is so sensuous, & I love the way it softens as it burns.

Absolutely a matchstick, for If I were a candle my flame could be blown out instantaneously with no means of me left to restart it... A torch is powerful and can lead to the way out of darkness but its risks are same as those of the slender candle.
But if I was a matchstick, water being my only enemy, I could start a flame anywhere I wished with just a mere spark.

It's better to burn than to fade away...

A matchstick so I can give light to a candle or a torch.

Well, the torch has the longest life of the three, the match the shortest.
The match, candle and torch can all help each other out by providing light. I don't know which I'd rather be re: life, but I'd be any of the three re: giving, because no matter how big or small, it counts. The kerosine in the torch is a provider, too.

I would rather be a candle as it gives a lasting light to us and it also more symbolic whereas a matchstick even it gives the candle the spark it doesn't last long. Not a torch because it is not from nature, a candle. And it is mainly because it is symbolic! :-)
Thank you!

well a candle is the symbol of sacrifice but it cant make any thing without the matchstick since it gives the light thus a matchstick is more important and i prefer to be that matchstick

the matchstick ignites the flame and sets fire to the wick of a candle, the candle only gives the flame someting to burn.
the candle needs the matchstick, but the matchstick also needs an outside source, it needs fiction to set it aflame.
