Science aside (reason I did not ask this in the science section), why do those that choose the literal biblical view not take into account a humans greed.... Let me explain.
As a scientist, the more interesting an experiment or observation the more "famous" you are in the scientific community. The really great theories are published in books and talked about all the time then taught to generations of schools children who learn the name Einstien, Boyle etc. So, do creationists believe that scientist are not trying to disprove evolution? Rather than be world renound as the scientist that disproved evolution, they would rather be a follower and hide away some great piece of evidence in favor of something else? All science and religion aside, does this idea make sense to creationists?

Perhaps the question was missunderstood. What do creationists think scientists are doing? Its really a question for creationists.
Darwin also believed in God and was not a scientist by education, he was a theologist. I was also told that he attended church every Sunday.

BGrim... Scientist are not motivated? "I don't understand the scientific method"
To create a hypothesis one must think of a problem or question then consider the possible outcomes. How else would a person create a hypothesis? If x is true then y should occur? This is the beginning of a scientific investigation. Not only do I understand this but I teach it for a living.
Again, this question was directed toward creationist so that I could better understand what they know about how science works. The only way to teach is to first find out what the student knows. A base from which to build. I am not trying to engage in a debate with them. I just want information.

You give creationists far too much credit. I don't imagine that someone who bases their understanding of the very nature of life itself on an antiquated fairy tale, has the intellectual capacity to think through a concept as far as you just did in your question, much less comprehend the greater motives behind the inner workings of the mind of a scientist. These are people who are so mentally lethargic and unprepared for the challenge of an actual scientific field of study that they would be satisfied replacing it with a single book of myths and folklore whose translation from the original cannot even be guaranteed to be accurate even if it did contain profound truth. And then they actual study it throughout their lifetime as if it had the possibility of unexpectedly revealing a fascinating new discovery that they didn't grasp after the first read through when they were children. It's like adults believing in batman or the tooth fairy and it's being done so prevalently that no one seems to notice how ridiculous they look praying to and fearing their mythological man in the sky. What are we neanderthals? Wake up and smell the evolution or forever be a superstitious misanthrope running from the Bogey man.

You have to understand: most people do not even know a scientist. They don't understand science, and that is probably even after a year or two in public schools trying to teach it to them. All they know about science is that it is complicated and difficult to understand, and that it says a lot of things which may or may not be so as far as you can tell.
To these people, a science textbook is EQUIVALENT to the bible in nature. Just something saying things that are so for reasons that can't be completely understood.
Religion at least hangs well together. Some theologies even claim to have ALL the answers (even scientific ones) and that they had them thousands of years ago. I still see people referring to religious texts to try and demonstrate that their ancestors had a clear understanding of quantum mechanics (something that cannot even be said of most scientists today).
So if you had to choose between a group of people who admit they don't know a lot of stuff, who've changed their story many times in recent history, and who are unlike anyone you know, or those guys you hang out with at least once a week, are always nice to you, and say they know EVERYTHING, which are you going to choose?
The idea of a scientific community deciding things together isn't any more strange to most people than the idea of a religious community deciding things together. In some cases they will even use that against scientists - how can they all agree on something when they're supposed to be keeping an open mind? How can they say they don't know things in one breath and them claim something close to certainty in the next?
Some people would call this ignorance and stupidity. Whatever you call it, it should be pretty obvious that the amount of people who are CAPABLE of practicing science in an appreciable way is very small. Can we really blame them for not understanding how it works and what those who CAN practice it are like?

Well not counting the multitudes of xtians who DO believe in evolution as a credible scientific theory and not just a massive conspiracy of Evil Atheist Scientists, it does seem that creationists tend to view evolution as a competing belief system to their own. This is, sadly, the logical consequence of both their inability and refusal to comprehend what science is actually about.
Science is NOT a belief system, but rather a tool--a methodology for determining how our world works in a reliable, repeatable, and correctable fashion. This is either unknown, or flat-out ignored by creationists, for whom science is every bit the same as a competing religion to them. This is why they often refer to scientists as "Darwinists"--putting the focus on the originator of the theory, the perceived Worshiped Authority Figure equivalent to their Jesus.
Note also that their tactics for trying to get creationism taught in the public schools includes portraying their beliefs as a credible alternative to evolution. First they want to put creationism and evolution on equal footing, then from there they can simply say, "since the two beliefs are equal, why not pick the one that won't send you to hell?"
It's sad, I think, that so many people still cling to the ancient creation mythologies, rejecting with hostility the rationality, logic and evidence that clearly show evolution to be the case. We are still quite a superstitious and immature species, which IMHO is all the more evidence that we were NOT created by an infinitely perfect being. But hey, I'm just one of those Evil Atheist Scientists. :-)

I think you have your facts misconstrued. Darwin was an atheist not that his theological belief has any significance it doesn`t.
Q.So, do creationists believe that scientist are not trying to disprove evolution?
A.I don`t think you have clear understanding of the scientific method. Scientist draw conclusions and create theories from observational experiments or predictions. Motive has little to do with the hypothesis scientist formulate.
Q.Does this idea make sense to creationists?
A.There`s many different forms of creationism. Many creationist believe or rather don`t deny evolution. They maintain God created organisms and they evolve b/c its all part of his design. Other Creationist believe God created each species of live separately however there theories don`t hold up when subjected to scientific scrutiny.
Words to the wise- Don`t deal in creationism. I`m not saying don`t believe in the Bible, what I`am referring to is Creationist Ideology. Creationist flip-flop, make illogical arguments, and reformulate there arguments so it fits in with scientific data. All in All Creationist are idiots.

Why, yes, it DOES make sense!
But Good Heavens, why does this even matter? It is not scientifically possible to conclusively prove or disprove God's existence. At least, not with science as we know it today.
Face the facts.
When science can't give you the answer, only faith alone will tell you that God does exist. What it all comes down to, is this: You either believe or don't believe. It's your choice.
For my part, I don't hate Science or scientists. Rather, I respect them, because their studies often contribute to a higher quality of life and aid us in appreciating more greatly God's magnificence, even though the latter is probably not their goal. So when all's said and done, hooray for Science!
EDIT: But really, upon seeing a self-styled Evil Atheist Scientist's answer (sorry, I couldn't remember your real screen name long enough to type it here), you can't BLAME people for not being clear on what science's purpose is. Blame the groups that are dumping misinformation or misrepresentations upon everybody's heads. It's like the erroneous idea that Darwin's theory of evolution involves a line of monkeys progressively straightening their posture and growing less hairy - something many of us believe in until someone tells us otherwise.

this is in simple terms a tiny fraction of the opposition over evolution. There at the instant are not any 0.5 way something creatures on the instant and surely no concrete information of them interior the previous, even with claims of human beings with withered tail backbone. Giants and adult males with spectacular toughness might desire to nicely have existed ,evolution or no longer via fact the gene pool would not have been something like as contaminated on the break of day of their creation, as that's now. yet you're completely suited, no concrete information yet in simple terms faith. this is faith that evolutionary theory is actual or faith that precisely programmed life got here of layout particularly than 2d guessing trial and mistake. speaking donkeys is unprovable besides ,nevertheless life is crammed with speaking serpents in all varieties of guises. so which you're making a good element all the flaws you point out are so a techniques unprovable, hence completely a count of religion in whoever you have self assurance. You win the argument and that i agree on present day information of the two evolution and particular creation being in accordance with faith no longer demonstrable actuality.

Evolution is not a science Evolution defies mathematical probability. Evolution defies laws of physics (second law of thermodynamics.),
We have still yet to see any evidence of one species becoming another. Variations in the same species doesn't equate to evolution. For all we know at this stage is that those variations are preprogrammed in the DNA as possible variations. Mixing of DNA may make a new type of dog, but it is still a dog. So, even if a complex single cell organism managed to spontaneously form with perfect parts one time or even a thousand times, it wouldn't account for the wonderful variety of life here on Earth

This is a very logical and well thought out argument, supported with evidence, as to why evolution is not only the best theory, but the only theory as to the origins of the species. That makes number 1340 on the list. But they didn't pay attention to the first 1339, so I'm afraid they won't listen to you.

Faith means to believe in spite of and in contradiction to the facts of reality. Faith is the opposite of reason. The faithful are taught to obey, not to think. The only thing they 'check' is the source of the information - if its from the bible, it must be right, even if it contradicts something else in the bible.
Theists believe that their pedantic and unquestioning faith in god is similar to a mathematician who claims that one plus one equals two. There is never any recourse to verification of facts or evidence; to a theist there are no facts or evidence.
is a pedantic 'faith' and very similar to their own belief

evolution and creation coexist i talking about why not except that the bible could be true. and i don't know of any contradiction in the bible if you are talking about how it repeats information if two different writers write about the same topic shouldn't some of it contradict because of different point of views
