I work at a hospital and my group wants to dress up like the wizard of oz. Everyone has found costumes that look similar to the real characters. I have found nothing but ugly ones for the cowardly lion. I would like to have one similar to the one in the movie butI cannot find one. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Pressed against a glass window
What lies in the future, I do not know
Emtions, feelings, love and pain
Shields me like it shields the rain

Pressed against a glass window
Being trapped, kept from where I wish to go
Dreams and felings put on hold
Must reliy on what I've been told

Pressed against a glass window
Trying to feel more
But the only chance I have of that
Is walking out the door

I traced several branches back almost to the jump. one branch had all kinds of decent info using ancestry's onetree or oneworld thing, when I come across stuff like Thor God of Thunder and Uranus.
Now the entire branch is suspect. delete the whole branch?

in speech class for summer school, we have to lip sync. our group is stumped. does anyone have any ideas for a song that we could do? we also get extra credit for props and costumes, so if you have an idea that could go with a song, that would be great! also it kinda has to be an appropiate song, cuz its summer school. thanks!

Any ideas what you want as your epitaph? Kind of morbid I know! I like Spike Milligan's 'I told you I was ill', brilliant.

I keep reading conflicting information about one of John Brown's sons, Salmon. One report I read, his birthdate is in 1836 and he joined his father and brothers in the Pottawatomie Massacre. Another source, however, tells me that Salmon Brown was born in 1856, the same year as the Massacre.
When I was still in school (I've since graduated and am finished for the summer), one of my teachers told me to never trust a site for its truths unless it was a .edu. The problem with this is both of the sites with conflicting birth years are .edu's.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I am in the process of writing my first children's book. It is non-fiction.....and I want to use photographs that I have found on the internet. My dream is to have it published by Scholastic, Inc. My questions are these: what is the process of publishing? What is a good way to get my manuscript to Scholastic? How do I gain legal rights to the photos on the internet? Or are the photos not protected by copyright laws because they were posted on the net? I would love to hear your publishing stories, PLEASE!

So many people have asked how to publish a novel. I'm really tired of this question. So, here is the way to go about it.

1. Write the novel.
2. Edit it over and over again so it's free of grammar and spelling errors. So it's free of any contradictions regarding the description of characters or times and places.
3. Buy a copy of Writers Market. About 30 bucks. Then buy some books on writing. These books will help you with formatting your work . . . Industry Standard.
4. In Writers Market, find a literary agent that accepts the genre you've written the book in.
5. Write a query letter along with a synopsis. The books you buy on writing will show you how to do this. It should be free of errors in grammar and spelling. Errors in a query letter are an instant reject.
6. If an agent has an interest in your work, you will be asked to send the first three chapters. These must be formated properly.
7. If accepted, you will be asked to send the entire manuscript.
