ok i have to do a project and i cannot find out who this guy i have to look up is. his name is cleomedes. i know hes a greek astronomer and stuff but i have to go up to the board and explain what he found out and stuff. everything on google.com or ask.com has WAYYY to many big words and i dont understand them at all

this is the information i got so far:

Cleomedes was a Greek astronomer. He recorded several hypotheses like the earth's rotund form and the moon's revolutions, which were recognized by later scientists.
His birth and death are not positively known. Historians said that he wrote his work sometime between mid 1st century BC and 400 CE. He refers a lot in his writing to the work of Posidonius, a mathematician and astronomer. So, basically, he proved that the Earth was round and that the moon revolves around the Earth.

PLEASE HELP ME! ITS DUE TOMORROW AND I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THIS GUY DID! PLEASE HELP ME AND PLEASE EXPLAIN IN KID WORDS SO I CAN UNDERSTAND! lol thanks

"Pieces of glass violently drown the floor,
As I lay shattered and broken at the core.
The light can no longer pass through,
A hopeless heart tells me there's nothing I can do.
Perhaps people were born just to die
But as I see it, that's a lie."

Ummmmmm what?

ZERO

I don't know why that I have to pretend,
The sum of my life just a box of old sand
I e-mailed you back but I never pressed send
The scars of my life like the veins on my hand

I never ever thought that I'd grow up a zero
My life just a relic in some forgotten old ruin
I never set out trying to be someones damn hero
Right now I'm as dangerous as a kitten thats mewing

It's time to go home, my car and a wall
A box is forever my home for eternity
If I listen real hard I hear lucifer call
Just come take my hand and I'll show you serenity.

A girl dressed in black with no eyes in her face
It's all over now can you feel my contempt
Another girl appears her face covered in lace
God he looks down and say's "It's too late to repent"

I would write this story as fiction even though some of it isnt because of obvious reasons.
It would be a story about a guy who finds some information in the basement of his Aunt's house in Memphis. This information would show that a member of his family was connected to a very secret but powerful racist organization. This info would show a link between the deaths of Martin Luther King and Elvis Presley. Both of these cultural Icons died in memphis only a few miles from each other. This story would show what really happen and who was really behind it.

I believe Snape was in love with Lilly Potter. Maybe thats why Snape is so utterly mean to Harry ( I know that James was horrible to Snape b/c James and his friends bullied him) but maybe he is so mad at James because he married Lilly. Because Lilly always defended Snape even though Snape used to call her mudblood but maybe he had some feelings for her.

Do you think that they had a relationship? Cause remember that theres a woman that once loved Snape. Maybe it was her?

I thought this was interesting.
This is where it originated, and what it states: History of the term: The phrase "separation of church and state" is derived from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to a group identifying themselves as the Danbury Baptists. In that letter, referencing the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, Jefferson writes: "I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between Church and State."

Do you already see the image in your mind and you are just tracing it on the blank canvas until it matches what you see in your mind, or do you have a general idea of what you would like to paint and then just keep creating until you come up with something?
Or is there another way to describe the way you come up with a painting from start to finish?

(I have read all of Stephen King's books -- even those under the name Richard Bachman -- and most of Anne Rice's too.) So other than the stories by these two authors, what is a really good scary story?

I don't want one that is just some schuck running amuck with a knife that's all gore. I mean something really scary, supernatural scary.

“The people can always be brought
to the biddings of leaders. That
is easy. All you have to do is tell
them they are being attacked,
And denounce the peacemakers
for lack of patriotism and exposing
The country of danger.
The works the same in any country.”
