Those who try to humanize or moralize war will most likely be the ones to be defeated....that to me is the lesson of Dresden, Hiroshima, the second world war and all the other human conflicts in the world....

If you are an American and have studied early American history you know that a war for independence was inevitable.
There have been many people throughout history who have been willing to die to protect their country, their family, their friends and their beliefs. You ask if it's ethical. You claim that," religions used war in the name of their god." Ethics are principles accepted within particular societies. They are predicated moral values , established as a socially acceptable norm, within a society. Early Americans desired liberty from the ethics of European strongholds and their established religion. From the beginning of humanity, wars have existed and will continue to exist until the end of mankind. War can not be deemed ethical or unethical. Read I and II Kings in the Bible.
Have a nice day.

do do do looking out my back door.
of course it is ethical
force you...
to be nice to each other
kill you...
so you wont kill each other
There is no good and evil. It is just us and them, you and me. Where do you draw your lines.
What is good for one is automatically bad for another just because of limited resources. To bad we couldn’t grow more apples.
War is bad for the people dieing but good for the weapons manufactures.
Bad for the environment but good for people who want to drive an affordable automobile.
Bad attention but isn’t any attention even bad attention better then none.
So we must impose some sort of ethical system on society or it would stop functioning. It comes down to individual rights vs public rights vs this groups rights vs that groups rights and no you can’t hold an organized assembly propagating your outrage. So sit back grab some corn and watch the show cause this babys gonna burn brightly.

You've already made up your mind. So which Ivory Tower do you reside? Berkeley? Harvard? It's interesting that liberals will go to war against conservatives, but claim war is wrong.
So let me ask you a pertinent question. Should Rosie O'Donnells bodyguards be able to carry pistols to protect her children, while she's blasting the NRA?
If you ask me, wars are fought over hypocrisy, lies, and one group trying to put their beliefs on others. You claim it's always religion, and I tell you more people died since the time of man over atheist idealogy. I believe Marx and Stalin were non believers, as well as Pol Pot, Mao, and Hitler. Millions dead because of these men, and Millions more dead at the hands of women in abortion clinics.
Get off your high horse and join us here in the "fly over" country and recognize people who think like you kill more or let more die for your "peace" initiatives.

There is a time for war and a time for peace. If a country declares war on another country and that country defends itself then war is ethical. It is also ethical to defend an ally. Other than that I don't know how to answer your question.

unethical
unfortunatly, war is human nature. So is being unethical in our human nature? Some would say no, all people have the capibility to do good, yet others would say people have much more capibility of doing evil...But who knows. The good thing about human nature, is that there's that glimmer of hope, for perfection.

War by true definition is the consumption of human energy between one group of humanity and another. So it is not ethical but it will still exist forever

War is widely agreed by those that run our world as unfortunate but necessary. Bottom line -- it sucks.
