I am in a class that examines the history of the United States from World War II to present and we have a test tomorrow. One of the Identifications on the study guide is Berwyn, Illinois but I do not recall my professor mentioning it in class. What makes Berwyn, Illinois important from a historical perspective from the 1960s to present day? Is there a specific event?

I know what the basic gest of the reasons of this question this. I believe some answers are human psychology, greed, judgment, but i need more precise and "elaborate" reasons.

Anyone can answer this question, but it's better if you read Russian literature such as Gogol, Tolstoy, and Chekhov. "The Overcoat, How Much Land does a man need, The Bet. " This question is directly related to these stories.

Nothing could explain this phenomen. Not even science could've explain this, if we are in the world of stimulated world then what is truely a real life?

Matrix can't be solved just like "How did humans and animals get here on this planet?"

What if life you are seeing is one big lie, a set-up, that isn't the real world?
There's only theories that can explain this.

After the military forced me to leave my first Korean lady friend (military regs) in 1975, I was broken-hearted. I returned and "rescued" and another from the horrors of Ietaewon in 1976. We lived a lovely life in Kyong-Ki-Do while I taught English for the Sam Sung Compny. When they shot President Park in 1979 many of my students were killed in the rioting. My wife was from Kwang-ju and I lost two in-laws when Chun-Do-Wan put the rebellion down. Being in country I got no real news. Rumor had it that Chun's Special Forces were more brutal than the North Koreans ever were. I was thrown into a hole in Suweon prison for 47 days because an Army Genral was one of my students My wife and I barely escaped having only each other She died in 1986 on a motorcycle I taught her to ride. It was six years before I could even date again. What I want to know is why the massacre happened. It turned my world upside down and took all I had that was dear to me. And yes, Meyoung, I still have the TShirt.
