After World War II, minorities that had been ignored or forgotten began to be noticed. Describe how each group achieved recognition. What factor, person or institution was instrumental in the change in status for each minority group? Why did these events happen in the post-World War II era and not earlier, say during the Progressive period?

I am serious about my inquiry...my step-father passed away yesterday and I am in charge of handling the memorial service. I would very much like to find out what the traditional spelling of his families surname means as well as if there is a family crest. Anyone out there with knowledge of German names/geneology, this question is posed to you.....I would do the research myself, but, I doubt I have the time being that the funeral will take place within the week. Please help....it would make the passing of my step-father a more joyous one to be able to pass on to his children/grandchildren something that would be precious, as he was to all of us.

Is it to benifit the society or to control the mob? Is the business of government social or capital? I ask this in philosophy because it requires a philosophical answer.

i want to have more experience in acting. my mum wont allow me to do profesional stage plays (which i really wana do) and i cant be a regular tv actress because its against school rules (yeah i know it sucks) and the only way i think i can have experience is by doing a commercial at the same time i have a moderate amount of exposure. i've done a short film before but i really blew it considering der were lots of commotion and personal and technical problems that happened in the set so i dont think they'll be taking me as a talent anymore.

do you know anyone or an agency who needs a talent like me, 15 year old baby faced teenager? and how can i tell my mum i want to act? i dont know why but i feel embarassed about it.

Now already it can be considered a cult: you have a central figure in it (the DJ, MC); you have various means of changing the state of mind (often use of drugs, loud, low pitched repeating sounds); ceremony (dancing, light effects) and all for the sake of feeling the spirit of unity and worshiping (where worshiping would be directed to technocraty and, in a way, science - the drugs are often synthetic, the sound and the light are very often electronic and, partially, mechanic, the central figure acts as a contact between the worshipers and their goal). Since all of this (a central figure, changing the state of mind and ceremony) can be found, with the exact same purpose, in many early, and even contemporary cults, and since we know that a cult can develope into a religion, or become a part of some religion, do you think this could happen to techno (culture)? Also, would you agree that right now, it is a cult?

You know the movie, sin city, how everything is either black and white, except for a few things that are vibrant colors, such as red or blue? How can i acomplish this on Adobe photoshop 7.0? I'm not asking for a step by step tutorial, although that would be cool. If you could just give me an idea, that would help. I want a pic to look like it was from sin city, with rain drops, black and white colors, as well as a vibrant red color. If you dont know what sin city looks like, it looks like this...

Steinbeck repeatedly uses hand umagery in his novel, like Lennie crushes Curley's hand, Curley keeps one hand soft by wearing a glove full of Vaseline, and Candy has lost one of his hands.

Can you Explain the significance of the novel's hand imagery?

Interesting guy. I'm reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra right now and have found it quite refreshing. Nietzsche was very eccentric but still had an extremely strong and grounded perception of the world.

Anyway, what are your critiques, if any, of what he had to say?
