i want to have more experience in acting. my mum wont allow me to do profesional stage plays (which i really wana do) and i cant be a regular tv actress because its against school rules (yeah i know it sucks) and the only way i think i can have experience is by doing a commercial at the same time i have a moderate amount of exposure. i've done a short film before but i really blew it considering der were lots of commotion and personal and technical problems that happened in the set so i dont think they'll be taking me as a talent anymore.

do you know anyone or an agency who needs a talent like me, 15 year old baby faced teenager? and how can i tell my mum i want to act? i dont know why but i feel embarassed about it.

Make a compromise. Tell your mom that you really wanted to do this but also promise her that you will finish your studies and you will do your best. Professional modeling agencies won't sign you up unless you've done some workshops. If you're really lucky and very tall and pretty they might sign you up without the experience. You might want to take some classes in modeling this summer at John Roberts Power. It's a little expensive but they teach the best models in the country, plus they refer you to legitimate modeling agencies if you are in the top of their class. I suggest that you take some acting for stage/theatre arts program this summer. Playshop has classes (P5500). New Voice Company (P5500 for the summer session) CCP has workshops which are inexpensive. ABS-CBN Talent Center also has acting workshops, modeling, TV newscasting, scriptwriting, singing, etc. Do something productive this summer. Join a class. It doesn't have to bankrupt you. There are courses with minimal fee.

If you are living in Metro Manila, you can email me. I teach basic acting in the summer for free or minimal amount. It's my community service. I also know other acting teachers. Let me know if you have decided what to do. I'll be in the Philippines until June 2007. angela_91406@yahoo.com
