Just a couple of days back, I was thinking, that when I was in college, everyone used to know me, friends or not I don't know. But now, that I am no more a student but working in the same place (my college), I don't even feel like making friends. Is it age? Does age affect friend-making in any way? what do you think?

I have read every book in my house & my dad's house. I need a great read. I have a gift card to Barnes & Noble and I'm going this afternoon after work. I like all kinds of books except historical or political novels. And ideas?? And I'm not a kid so please suggest more mature books. Thanks a bunch!

If you could do one thing to help the world in any way, what would it be and why? It could be anything, like get rid of world hunger, or find a cure for cancer. Maybe you want to stop all wars, or prevent the elimination of our world's forests.

and how would your idea help to possibly change the world?

i appreciate your feedback

Set in England, it's set in a boarding school but I don't remember any other girls being around apart from the main character. It might even have been during the school holidays. So not your classic boarding school story.

The lead character's name is Robin, she's sent away to school by her father and (fairly early on in the book) ends up locked in the attic by the evil headmistress who's actually up to something criminal. She escapes, but gets lost on the moors and picked back up by her captors (or someone connected with them).

Can't remember any more than that, but I remember I loved the book and years later I still love the name Robin... I'd like to track it down and see if it really is any good or just average!

It can't have been published any later than 1980, and I would be surprised if it was as late as that. Most of the books I had when I was a kid were from the 1950's and 1960's.

Ringing bells with anyone?

This real-life story reads like a movie script. Indeed this is the true story of an actor who worked as an undercover cop.

My challenge this year is to start recording death records for the city I live in.
I will be visiting cemeteries recording details from gravestones and setting up a website so people searching for relatives in Cambridge UK can get FREE information without having to pay for it.

I will start with the really old graveyards in my city and surrounding area and I was wondering if any residents of Cambridgeshire would like to join me, recording this information.

It would be nice to start this project with like minded individuals.
Thanks.

Local community theater musical--obviously I need to have a song prepared...should it be from that show or another one? Should I have the sheet music with me? Should I bring anything else?

Ahhh! I haven't done this before!

Im new to painting! I have heard somewhere that a metal grill of some description can be used to help scrape the paint off... is this correct? I think a lid is also handy to prevent evaporation... Can you buy containers to hold the Turpentine? If so, where?

I have to do a paper for my Western Civilization class on the book Dante's Inferno and the paper should focus around the topic of how Dante makes references between the dark ages and the renaissance.

Has anyone who has read this book caught on to that? I already have a few pages written about the greatest sin. That one was easy. This one I'm having trouble with.

I know that he mentions several Greek and Roman citizens that lived before Christ and therefore were sent to hell because they didn't give the proper respect toward the Christian religion. This is an example of the Renaissance.

But what else? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
