A friend's father saw this in a ski resort he was in and fell in love with it. He's trying to find a copy for a birthday present.

One of the Dutch masters I believe....I will see what I can find, will get back with you. Where did you see this?
I am sorry but I can't find it, looked extensively. I think mudd_grip is right. His other paintings look similar.
