"I think the phrase overall implies the overwhelming contemplation of one's life as it is ending. Like the characters said in bed, it would be like you are at the end of your life, looking back on all the things you've done, but sort of like you are doing them all over again. It all relates to dreams - how they are reality while we're in them, but then memories once we're out of them. Like life."

This is latin. super means over and abover where perfundo means to pour over or steep in water. Make your own conclusions of the rest.

Talked to Richard Linklater about this one, he said that the actor playing that character actually had a dream where someone told him that, so they decided to stick it in the movie, because it was authentic.
