I have to do a paper for my Western Civilization class on the book Dante's Inferno and the paper should focus around the topic of how Dante makes references between the dark ages and the renaissance.
Has anyone who has read this book caught on to that? I already have a few pages written about the greatest sin. That one was easy. This one I'm having trouble with.
I know that he mentions several Greek and Roman citizens that lived before Christ and therefore were sent to hell because they didn't give the proper respect toward the Christian religion. This is an example of the Renaissance.
But what else? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

My teacher told me to ignore all the name dropping in the book and focus on the dark ages/renaissance at hand.
Thanks for the comment though.
