A man named Ferdinand Brandl/Brandel jumped a train in the late 1800s from Dubuque Iowa and was never heard from again. There is speculation he ended up in California. Anyone related to or heard this name?

once we reach a technological singularity and there's nothing else to invent or improve what will we do? Will humans get bored and just cease to exist?

For details see the "Joan Jett wrecking machine" question I asked just now. Do you have something you were wrong about for your whole life and then put right?

Just came across something of interest on Hitler on the History Channel. He was a very poor public speaker and had to be taught to do it better. He had what we today call spin doctors, who taught him the best way to put a good spin on his beliefs. It surprised me who it was that first taught him, in 1919, what he needed to know. This was after a very disastrous speech in which he was booed from the stage.

It is only recently that this was learned, from silent home movies which has been sitting in storage since the end of the war. They had begun using lip readers to translate the movies.

My mother-in-law will be 100 on Jan. 25. I gave her "50 States" for Christmas. She loved it. She enjoyed geography in her little country school near Aberdeen, So. Dak. Could Lynne send her a card or email for her birthday?

Chris was her son's best friend, and could not think of a start to what he wanted to say. So I wrote this to get him started.

Plans are made to happen
By
Jackie
The years passed slowly,
Or was it fast.
We made plans each day.
But we did not get to do all the things we planed.
As Chris left the house and said good by he did not know it would be forever.
When he said I will see you later he did not know he was talking to God.
But both were true.
He hit the pole and saw God’s face.
As the other kids were praying to God he was talking to him.
As we all sit here telling Chris good by, he is sitting safe in the hands of Christ.
Now we have an angle watching over us, and so does his brother.

Does anyone know any musicals that have been translated into french?
I am looking for some musicals that have been translated into french (and perhaps some Disney movies that are similar to musicals) I already know of Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Cats, JCS, Les Mis, Sound of Music, Nine, Man of La Mancha, Cinderella, Into the Woods.

I am looking for some good classic like Evita, Phantom etc

I not only need the names of the musicals, but I need to find websites that actually HAVE the lyrics that have been translated.

Thanks!!!
