Hey Euan,

Personally, YAHOO SEARCH is the place to go. Here are a bunch of sites for Scottich artists. And the general art sites will help you to find more.

Google and Wikipedia are as good suggestions as any.

Ask in your local library - the librarian (go to the reference section) should point you in the right direction. If you are in one of the cities, by local library I mean the main one in the city centre, not a branch library in the suburbs!

The major Scottish art galleries, e.g. the National Gallery of Scotland in Edinburgh, City Art Gallery, the Burrell Colllection and the Hunterian Gallery in Glasgow, and the municipal galleries in Dundee and Aberdeen, have work by Scottish artists and could probably answer questions about Scottish artists. (Incidentally Scotland has enviable local art collections by English standards). You may like to look at their websites. Similarly the Royal Scottish Academy.

Happy searching.

Google is your best friend! And follow the leads you find.

Also Wikipedia might be helpful.
