I have read many accounts and it usually comes down to these 3:

1) "It's every man for himself, that's the way of it at a time like this."

2) "Be British !"

3) A gurgling sound, very similiar to that fo someone trying to say something with their mouth underwater.

I'm sure there's a Titanic buff who knows.

I love ballet and I just started at 13. I know it's late and I have no plans on becoming a famouse dancer or even persuing a carreer in dance. But I would love more than anything to go on point. I know I'de be behind and It takes a couple or more years to get there but could a 16 or seventeen year old do point?
Thanks

I am in a play this weekend and my voice is weak from a sinus infection. I know I'm supposed to just let it rest, but I have intense rehearsal all week. Any suggestions?

They both seem to be pretty much the same. Is it something technical that separates them? Or is it just two ways of saying the same thing?

I started this book this morning and I'm kind of impressed; it's different from the american and english literature i've grown so accustomed to reading, but I have a feeling that the history of india is some necessary knowledge one must have while reading this book. In that sense, I fear I'm missing out because I don't know much about 20th century india. I'm only on page 100 right now, and the main character isn't even born yet. I've never read a book with such a long beginning. To those of you out there that have read this, what were your thoughts on this book, and particularly the first 100 pages?

Okay well here I am on my laptop, and I have to write a story for creative writing. WE have to get in touch with new things in thiss assigment, and since I'm a hard core bball player I decided to write a story about a ..... a ballet student. I seached the web for just list of ballet steps and I could only find like seven and I need a website that I can pull up and down while writing...so any sites I could go to, I can't find one. By the way I need just like a long list not really how to perforn them. Thanx a ton I'll rate five stars to resonders.

Hi, I'm looking for some good vampire romances or just plain good vampire stories. I have read almost all of Anne Rice's books and most of Sherilyn Kennon's. I read Hotel Transelvania last week, but absolutly HATED it! I need some suggestions.

I used to read these children's books from the library in 1959. No telling how old those books were then (I was in the first grade, of course). What were the other characters? Do you have copies? (These were a series of books. Can anyone tell me who wrote them, published them, illustrated them, and what the titles were?) Browser searches show nothing!

My basic idea is to write a correspondence between two main characters. I write for one character, you the other. I need a co-author to help me work out the details of the relationship between the two characters, but as it will be a "fully documented" correspondence we will be able to work separately on our characters' development. While, of course, helping each other with the character development because our relationships with other people are - after all - a huge part of how we develoip as human beings. If you are at all interested please respond.

I used to check out and read a gothic romance book from the library - all I remember is that on the cover it showed the heroine on the back of a black horse with a castle in the background. It was your basic damsel in distress, victorian gothic romance. Does the cover ring any bells? I sure would love to read it again.
