Hi, I'm looking for some good vampire romances or just plain good vampire stories. I have read almost all of Anne Rice's books and most of Sherilyn Kennon's. I read Hotel Transelvania last week, but absolutly HATED it! I need some suggestions.

Eternal by Cynthia Leitich Smith is really good, I'm reading it currently. The wicked series is really good, even though it's about witches not vampires, (5 books in this series, but the first to are in 1 big book together, so are the next 2 and the last is on it's own) I'm trying to think of some others, but I can't right now. If you haven't read twilight yet, I say don't. It's not all that good, well I got sucked into it at first, but there is definetly wayyy better books out there.

I would highly suggest Laurell K. Hamilton. She has a series called the Anita Blake series that would probably be exactly what you are looking for. It mystery, intrique, romance, and lots of fun stuff. The first book is Guilty Plesures. I usually go to Borders, because they have a rewards program so you can earn free books. If you end up liking the Anita Blake series, her Merry Gentry series is very good also. It's not vampires, but it's supernatural based as well. She is a very good author and I love all of her work. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for some good vampire stories. I got my co-worker hooked on the Anita Blake series as well. Let me know how it turns out.

I would definitely recommend "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer (and the sequel "New Moon"). I would also recommend "The Silver Kiss" by Annette Kurtis Klaus. The "Vampire Kisses" books by Ellen Schreiber are quick, easy vampire romances, as are the "Vampire Beach" stories by Alex Duval. Charles de Lint also has a couple good short vampire stories in his collection "Waifs and Strays." All of these books can be found in most YA or Teen sections at bookstores. Also, for something a bit different, Justin Somper's "Vampirates" has an interesting twist and can be found in the Children's section.

For a really funny vampire romance books read Argeneau book series by Lynsay Sands. The first one of the lot is 'Single white vampire'.Recluse vampire and novelist Lucern Argeneau finds his lair being invaded by his determined editor Kate.He has to hide the fact that he is a vampire from Kate, partake his daily blood quota and manage his family. His interfering all-vampire family doesn’t make things easier.Infact his mom thinks that Kate is perfectly suitable for him.

Prime vampire novels by Susan Sizemore is interesting. The best of the lot is the 4th book 'Master of Darkness.' Reluctant vampire hunter Eden Faveau thinks Laurent is her new partner in an investigation to take down a local vampire drug ring. Laurent is really a renegade vampire from the Tribe Manticore and he is in the right place at the right time to take advantage of Eden. He needs her computer expertise to hack a laptop that he stole from the Tribe leader, Justinian.

Christine Feehan's Dark series are really great. They are about Carpathians who have been searching their perfect mates for a long time.My favorite is Dark Desire, the 2nd one in the series.

The Eternal Highlander-Hannah Howell & Lynsay Sands.

J.R.Ward,Katie Macallister,Kathy Love are other authors. But I do not care much for their works.

Plus there are a lot of guides and lists in Amazon about vampire romance novels.I'll list one.

I'll second Laurell K Hamilton, and also add Kelley Armstrong (she starts with werewolves, moves to witches, and though there hasn't been a vamp main character yet, I assume there will soon be!)

I also love LJ Smith, although her stuff is young adult (her Vampire Diaries trilogy, and Night World series - particularly Secret Vampire and Daughters of Darkness).

Mm. Supernatural romance.

I really like Undead series by MaryJanice Davidson. They're pretty light and fluffy, though, nothing like Anne Rice.
And I remember reading one called 'Love Bite' a long time ago that was really good, but I can't for the life of me remember the author.

I LOVE Christine Feehan's "Dark" series - I'd suggest that one first of all. The guys are hot & the stories are good. They're all in print & there's quite a few. Then move on to some of the others suggested.
