No. You are subscribing to the utilitarian ethical doctrine, where you choose to act based on the total good that would result from that act. But the end does not always justify the means.
We humans are very individual, born with free thought and will. I suppose if the child really was honored, and willing, it might be fine, but we would still have to consider whether the child is mature enough to make that choice. And since we are talking about hypos, what if that child you killed had the potential to become the greatest doctor, who develops a cure to all illnesses in the world.
Utilitarianism, in my opinion, is closely related to Communism. China's "One Child Policy" was designed to benefit the country as a whole, to prevent overpopulation. China limits a married couple to have only 1 child, and if there is a second pregnancy, the government has the authority to force an abortion and sterilize the couple. A blatant violation of human free will.

No. The lives of those who are cured will be stained forever with the blood of that child. They will live but will live stained lives without honor or happiness.
Definately not worth it. There is no circumstance in all the realms of sociology, philosophy, theology, science, or health when it is permissible to kill an innocent child.
I see that some people are saying yes. I hope they do not get my job.

Cancer too is another child.. a growth not compatible to humans, and thrives on human life.... that is why it is called cancer... There are many people whose actions are in effect worse than a cancer, in the same sense of direction, and go about freely , well protected by flawed social structures, etc !

NO probability!!! An harmless childs existence in my view is a lot greater substantial. i might leave somebody else to discover the treatment for many cancers. i might fairly the newborn stay. How can anybody enable or reason a infant to die on the draw close of their very own palms??? anybody who says sure is sick, retarded and demented. might desire to YOU kill a infant??? I in no way stated you have been sick yet once you answer sure then, you're sick. human beings do not comprehend the way it feels to love toddlers until they have their very own, so thumbs down me "I even have toddlers, i like my toddlers" and that i might in no way kill my very own infant or anybody elses. until you have toddlers, you adult adult males incredibly shouldn't answer.

My grandma has Parkinson's and I know stem cell research is working for that but it's still murder.. The chance of completely CURING without relapse cancer is rare if ever.. that child WILL always be dead..

"Tell me yourself, I challenge your answer. Imagine that you are creating a fabric of human destiny with the object of making men happy in the end, giving them peace and rest at last, but that it was essential and inevitable to torture to death only one tiny creature- that baby beating its breast with its fist, for instance- and to found that edifice on its unavenged tears, would you consent to be the architect on those conditions? Tell me, and tell the truth."
=>"No, I wouldn't consent...."
"And can you admit the idea that men for whom you are building it would agree to accept their happiness on the foundation of the unexpiated blood of a little victim? And accepting it would remain happy for ever?"
=>"No, I can't admit it..."

If it was your child would you? If you knew it was for the greater good and your child was already suffering themselves from the disease - I'd have to say yes. But after much, much soul searching.
