3/5 is a pretty specific number. Why didn't they use something simple like 2/3 or 1/2? Obviously they should have been counted as 1, but I am curious as to how they settled on 3/5.

Yes, this is for homework...I'm needing some good wording. I very much enjoyed reading the play, I'm just not sure how to describe what I felt. Any help with wording would be great. Thanx.

I stopped attending meetings ,to go to church because I am afraid of sitting with people specially women.I feel like everybody is looking at me.My eyes cannot focus on the preacher or meeting leader but instead they look to the person sitting on my right or left side.
I afraid to breath even.
I feel like the world hates me.
It happened to me after I asked a girl for love and she sayed no. And she was cruel to me,she didn't treat me.
please help me get out of this friends!
hope to hear from you!

Sorry, can't remember the title either. She wrote a couple books with end times theme. Had the books. One autographed to my wife and me. Wife loaned them out. You know the rest of the story. Lost her E-Mail address also. She lives out toward Denver. I believe.

He is 25. He likes the books of Kafka, Camus, Lee, Salinger etc. Any new publications or old ones would do. Need not be 'popular' or the wellknown classics. But should be intriguing. Serious or otherwise.

When she stopped the romans from taking her throne and refused to pay taxes, was she just being rebellious or doing it for a just cause? Help! I know nothing on this!

I've noticed, especially on many of the resolved questions, that at times the answers seem to be chosen only by what the person WANTS to hear, and not by the 'real truth' or the possible reality in each situation. Or they choose the fluffiest, kindest, and most optimistic answer, even if it's either fantasy, or hell even wrong. Why live in denial? Why not understand and know reality as to CHANGE it, rather than tolerate it? Not all are like this, but it seems all the answers are solely based on what they WANT and LIKE to hear rather than the blunt, impetuous truth. YOUR thoughts?

Claude Monet has a lot of paintings and he is also considered to be the father of impressionism. I was thinking of buying an oil painting from this website that I bought from in the past and I'm having a hard time deciding which painting. Assuming that size and color scheme do not matter, which would you buy? Check out http://www.overstockart.com/monrep.html and let me know what you would recommend for me...

I wrote a poem in 1994 and sent it in (I was a student at ENMU). My poem was published and I was sent a letter requesting that I read my poem at a poetry reading. I did not recieve the letter until a month after the reading. I was in the US Navy's Basic Training program at the time. I would really love to see my poem in print and to see the other poems that won.

*At least I THINK that's what the name of the publication was...it HAS been a decade. Any ENMU students out there, perhaps?

**I'm posting this question again in hopes of getting an answer or, at least, something that will point me in the right direction...

It's in luke 23:43
In the original Jesus says "Truly I say to you, today you shall be with me in paradise."
The JW version says ""Truly I say to you today, you shall be with me in paradise."

JW's annoy me. One of them tried to convert my dying friend. She was dying and really suffering with Motor Neurone disease and wanted to end her suffering with a euthenasia pill.
The JW told her it would be a sin and so she did not take a pill.
She died last thursday after incredible suffering. The JW caused her extra distress that she did not need. It makes me angry. Even after we asked her to stop preaching to her, she kept coming and upseting my friend and reading from the watchtower and awake.
I know she thought she was helping but she made her last days miserable.
