"Truth is said to consist in the agreement of knowledge with the object. According to this mere verbal definition, then, my knowledge, in order to be true, must agree with the object. Now, I can only compare the object with my knowledge by this means, namely, by taking knowledge of it. My knowledge, then, is to be verified by itself, which is far from being sufficient for truth. For as the object is external to me, and the knowledge is in me, I can only judge whether my knowledge of the object agrees with my knowledge of the object". Kant, Immanuel (1800), Introduction to Logic. Thomas Kingsmill Abbott (trans.),

Ok I need to write a letter, but not just any letter...a creative letter. You see the person that wrote me the letter wrote it on napkins and the envelope was a paper bag(she's going to school to be an art teacher) anyways she told me to be creative with my response...but I have no clue what I could do. Does anyone have any ideas how I could make/write a creative letter in response?

I read the book Catch 22 a while back and I hope it isn't a test of intelligence because I am none the wiser. Anyone else have the same experience?

The Yamaha YAS23 alto saxophone features a clear durable baked-on epoxy lacquer finish. Nickel plated power-forged keys provide excellent durability while the refined tone hole dimensions and placement provide superior intonation. Is it good enough for a first year of band?

I have a photoshop project in which I need to create a self-portrait. It doesn't have to actually use a picture of myself, but it should be something that tells people about me or something. Does anyone have ideas? I was thinking maybe something like showing a mirror, but it would have a different reflection or something, but I'd also like some other ideas. Since you don't know me, the things I want to incorporate are mystery, darkness, light, and wonder.

We are simply beings on a planet, 1 of many planets, living our own ignorant life. That's okay with me. I don't need to feel any bigger or better than that. Why do so many of you feel as though you are special in this cosmos? It's a bit funny, and yet a little embarassing- we are but humans. Get over yourselves!

I am trying out for Annie soon. I have nothing to sing, though. I know none of the songs from the play. Let me repeat that to everyone that says I should sing Tomorrow:

I KNOW NONE OF THE SONGS FROM ANNIE!
I KNOW NONE OF THE SONGS FROM ANNIE!
I KNOW NONE OF THE SONGS FROM ANNIE!

Okay, now that that's cleared out, I would like to sing a song that my choir is singing, because I would be confident and know how to sing it, which are brownie points in tryouts. I just can't decide what to sing! Here's a list of songs that our choir is singing:

Scales and Arpeggios
Benedictus
Angel's Carol
Carol of the Bells
Hush my Babe
Star Spangled Banner
Simple Gifts

Thank you to anyone who can answer for me!

Oh, yes, and I'm trying out for the part of Ms. Hannigan. Whoo old drunks 0_o
