We are simply beings on a planet, 1 of many planets, living our own ignorant life. That's okay with me. I don't need to feel any bigger or better than that. Why do so many of you feel as though you are special in this cosmos? It's a bit funny, and yet a little embarassing- we are but humans. Get over yourselves!

I am important because my wife of 42 years still thinks I am important. I am raising my grandson to be a fine upstanding young man. To him I am very important.

My clients trust me implicitly and to them I am important. All that is left of my once very large family is my two sisters and to them I am still their big brother they can turn to any time no questions asked. Damn man even my dog thinks I am important or rather my dog finds me especially important

Yes we are mear humans but our human spirit allows us to make ourselves relevant or irrelevant. We are only as insignificant as we make ourselves. And I do not choose to be insignificant. I am significant and therefore people know they can count on me to do the right thing.

If this sounds preachy or egotistical I am just sorry about that for I know no other way to answer your question honestly.,

OBTW I am not living an ignorant life!! My IQ surpasses Bill and Hillary's.

Jesus love me this I know...........(I did not mention Jehovah!!!)

Carl Rogers.........Father of therapy said this "we are wiser than our intellects . . . that our organisms as a whole have a wisdom and purposiveness which goes well beyond our conscious thought . . . I think men and women, individually and collectively are inwardly and organismically rejecting the view of one single culture-approved reality. I believe they are moving inevitably toward the acceptance of millions of separate, challenging exciting informative individual perceptions of reality. I regard it as possible that this view-- like the sudden and separate discovery of the principles of quantum mechanics by scientists in different countries-- may begin to come into effective existence in many parts of the world at once. If so, we would be living in a totally new universe, different from any in history. Is it conceivable that such a change can come about?" (pp. 106-107)

let me present a metaphor. a mold which is cast from an object can give rise to the object only when all of the empty space in it has has been completely replaced by metal. the "set" of all possibvle experiences is a "mold" which god attempts to fill by as many unique paths as possible. therefore yours and my experiences, being at least finitely different, must both be poured into the mold to create the cast of all possible experiences which represents god's expereince

My guess would be that self-preservation can be enhanced in some cases by feeling that one is "special".

For example, the Europeans who first came to America thought they were special and this helped them to commit mass genocide on the native population with little guilt to get in the way.

Now whose genes are still replicating here? Anything that benefits genetic self-preservation will tend to be retained as both gene and the related behaviors that out-picture those genes.

I am not important. I never have been and I never will be. I am a small, insignificant woman with no hope in this miserable empty Universe.

Only reason we're special is because GOD made us. GOD loves us and that's good enough for me! I'm sure as stupid as you are GOD loves you too! (Although, GOD only knows why GOD loves you.)

So I guess the only reason we are who we are is because GOD made us in the image and likeness of GOD.

So if GOD loves people, then why do you not love the creatures that GOD made?

P.S. Sorry... must have missed your GOD request. You know where you say not to mention GOD. Oh well, sorry for mentioning GOD once or twice. (GOD I am so stupid sometimes.)

WHY ARE ANY OF US?
LIFE IS A RESPONSIBILITY TO LIVE
THAT'S ALL THE "IMPORTANCE" I CAN SEE
LOVE LIFE'S LONGING TO RENEW ITSELF
FULLY FEELING THAT IS LIFE

RENEWING ITSELF IS BIOLOGICAL IMPERATIVE
LONGINGS, LOVES, BEAUTY, SPIRITUALITY EMOTIONAL CONTENT
PSYCHOLOGICAL COMMUNION IS
GROWTH THAT TOUCHES
MANY THAT, THEN, WE, AGAIN, MAY BE LIFE

THEN WE GET TO RELAX WATCHING OTHER BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ON VIDEO "LIVE" : )
