I prefer darker books, not bloody gorey dark but, you know they have that dark element. I also like a romantic element, it doesn't have to be the main focus but, if it's in there I'd like it. I would also like it if said book, had slight fanstasy element (e.g. paranormal, vampires, world going to end... stuff like that) not a complete fantasy book.

If you can think of a book for me, even if it doesn't fit my critera, as long as it's good I don't care...

I believe that free-will is the ability to make my own decisions.
Determinism is that all actions including human decisions can be pre-determined with enough knowledge.

I don't see a problem believing both are true.

If you have a problem with that, why do you believe human decisions can't be determined with enough knowledge?

Greetings. I'm doing some research and am seeking to find an online, downloadable version of Julius Caesar’s The Conquest of Gaul. I've checked the standard sources, but no luck.

Additionally, I am seeking other online versions of different books from the same general time period (Diodorus Siculus’ Histories ca 8 b.c., etc). Anyone know of any resource sites out there?

Many thanks for the assistance!

As the story goes, the cause of the Boston Tea Party was the rise in taxes by the British Parliment and taxation without representation. This is taught in most history classes in elementary and high school (Unless you have a really good teacher that knows what their doing).
The acual reason for the Boston Tea Party is that the tea was too cheap. The Americans were smuggling tea into Boston and other cities. When British Parliment discovered this, they lowered the price of tea, it was so low that the smugglers were no longer making money. So the Sons of Liberty threw the crates of tea into the ocean as a protest of these low prices.
Columbus didn't sail across the world to prove the earth was round. Europeans in this time period already new earth was round. The lie that europeans thought the world was flat was made by Washington Irving. 15 people already discovered the Americas before Columbus. Columbus went to the Americas to gain wealth and exploit the Native americans for slave trade

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I'd know how a black person can be made to look (naturally) white or lighter complected with stage makeup - i.e. like the Wayans brothers in "White Chicks" (the skintone, not the facial features), the black actors on "Mad T.V." or the family from the reality show "Black.White." We've tried pale foundation with little success, it looks completely unnatural.

Here are some examples:

Humans are so unpredictable than any other animal species on this planet. I can well imagine why we have been left alone from
other life forms. I'd say they are waiting for the day until we destroy
ourselves and needless to say re acquaint themselves with this wonderful planet. Whats left of it anyway
