Welll i just got back from singing a mass today, and I had a lot of solos, but I didnt warm up too well, and i did drink a lot of water but then i could feel that my thorat was dry and i have no idea why. And I know that right now by thorat will starting hurting me tomorrow. Wat did i wrong and how could i fix or prevent it from happening in the future and any other tips! Thanks

You need to keep your voice hydrated. That means drink lots of water, not only before a concert, but always, vocalize before a choir practice or before to sing a concert is really important. So, you need to do this always too.

I don't think you will feel pain tomorrow, unless you were singing completely wrong.

But anyway, to prevent or to treat throat sore you can drink a herbal tea, (like chamomile for example) before to go to bed. Do not put sugar on it, and be sure this tea does not has caffeine. Vocal rest before a concert is other really important thing, practice just the things you really need to.

Yes practice a lot, but mentally!

Do a routine of vocal exercises every day, and practice the difficult passages in your music will help you to improve your performance, first in the low octave and then in the high octave. Never force your voice. Never practice unto you feel really tired in your throat.

if you sing a lot and sing really high notes then i would suggest not only drinking a lot of water but keeping a cough drop or gum in your mouth a lot during the day. because then your mouth won't get dried out as bad.

you just sang too much and especially if you sang loud . it happends to me all the time . you should take cough medicine or honey ( a table spoon )
