Pokemon is AWESOME. It is such a positive hobby for kids. We attended the 2006 World Pokemon Championships in Anaheim in late August. It was an international event with kids from Germany, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Canada, etc. The kids were like Trekkies. It was so cool. And they exhibited such kindness and respect towards each other. The winners all received scholarships. It's wonderful.
Some parents do say the Yu-Gi-Oh is a negative hobby, and won't permit their kids to watch or play the cards.
