His compassion and his intelligence. I'm a sucker for that. My great great grandfather was a former gov. of Illinois and was one of the people that Lincoln invited to Ford's Theater,that fateful night.He was invited to view Lincoln's body. I HAVE THAT PASS!!! How sexy is THAT???!!!! ( Also, several Lincoln letters were passed down through the family. When my mother sold hers, it brought in a very nice sum. I also found a letter he was writing to Lincoln,but he spilled ink on it. I looked in a book of letters written to Lincoln and found THAT letter. I think this is quite cool.)
