I know how to play a B flat clarinet a little bit. I know how to finger most of the notes but not all of them. I'm not very big at all. I was thinkinkig about switching to clarinet this year,(I'm in 6th grade) but I want to spend maybe one more year playing trumpet and hopefully learn more clarinet skills. What do you think?

In our jobs, where we live, and bad relationships, wasted time, for example. Say you knew the exact day of your death, would it make a difference?

The Tzar bomb tested by the USSR in 1961 had an explosive yield of 58,000 kilotons. (Source: http://zvis.com/nuclear/ndb/index.shtml) A quck search didn't turn up any bigger yield in any US or Soviet test since then. I simply can't believe that the biggest nuclear bomb in history was tested over four decades ago.

1) Has a bigger nuclear device been created since then (not that 58,000 kt. isn't already destructive enough!!!).

2) Also, what is the approximate yield of today's nukes? (I presume these are not state secrets.)

3) I know it's morbid, but I'm curious: if the biggest nuclear device today were detonated over a city, what would be the radius of the actual blast, not including the subsequent fires, lingering radiation, etc.

I'd greatly appreciate any links you can provide to substantiate your answers. Thanks.

You can decide what political and social philosophy the society will follow, but you have no idea what your role in society will be. You could be on top or on the bottom. So, for example, you probably wouldn't want to choose a society with slavery, because while you may not have to work and live a life of luxury, you may also get the role of the lowest slave. You also have no knowledge of the abilities or disabilities you will be born with either.

Please be as specific as possible. If you're going to say "capitalism", for example, say whether you would want capitalism with a welfare state or libertarian capitalism or whatever.

Yes, this does come from John Rawls. He thought that most people would choose a certain way. I am just seeing what people actually choose.

I have a friend who is 22 who is in love with Johnny Depp.
Age difference isn't an issue for me(or her) but I did say "did you know that there is a 22 year difference between you two?"

She stated it wouldn't matter if he was 93. "He is timeless" she said.

hmmm......

Johnny depp aside, what makes someone or some thing timeless?

When I see "Copyright 2005" on a website, what does that mean? Does it mean that the work has been registered somewhere so that no one else has claim to it? Or is that just something they put up just for show?

I had a fairly tough time growing up and am in the process of writing about it. Does anyone find it interesting to read about non famous people? Or has the world gone celebrity mad?

I'm just curious, and I really don't have a clue. But I'd appreciate it if you'd respond thoughtfully. (I don't know why I put it in visual arts)
