Judging isn't wrong. It's judging people based on something that is out of their control that is wrong. If a person does something that hurts someone else than they give that person the right to judge them. Raping and murder are within a persons ability to control...defending yourself is not. It's your instinct to defend yourself or someone you love...it's not always in your control. That's why your judge by your peers in a court of law...your peers will say "what would I do in that situation?"

I think you misundertood what people meant by "judging is wrong". It means that in everyday life, you can't know why people do why they are doing what they are doing. Moreover, it usually refers to mundane things. Ex: a girl have sex with a lot of guys. Well, you shouldn't judge that gir because she might have had a bad childhood and might be looking for affection. They don't mean that judging people who commit crimes is wrong. It's completely different and the sentence is irrelevant.
However, there are things that can be judged in a court of law because your freedom stops where that of another person starts (well, I'm just summing up). If you do something bad to another person, of course you're going to be punished for it. So, obviously, to be punished, you need to be judged.
You should read a bit more about philosophy if you like this type of questions. You should read "Philosophy for Dummies", which is what I'm doing right now. It tackles the most important issues and help understand how a "philosopher" should think. It's very easy to read, yet very interesting. Basically, it gives you the basics which are useful if you decide to read and talk about issues such as justice, what is right and wrong, etc.

Judging is NOT wrong. That's the most misquoted, misunderstood part of the Bible if ever there was one. If you're serious about understanding the concept, a simple Google search will lead you to many intelligent essays regarding judgment of others.
WE don't say rapists and murderers are wrong. God does. We just pass the word along.

You are right. Judging is wrong. You never know what got those rapists and murderers to the point in their lives where they had to do those things. We are all here on a mission. There have to be bad people so that we can perfect as human beings. Cappeesh?

Putting aside religion, there are certain standards that must be upheld in order for society to function. Members of the society decide what those standards are and take steps to enforce them. This is not a matter of judging, it is a matter of upholding the rules that everyone has agreed to abide by. If society decides that rape and murder are not to be tolerated, then that society has the right to appoint someone or some people to enforce those rules.

i don't believe judgeing is wrong, because i am not going to judge someone who judges. i don't think that we are to say that rape or murder is wrong, i think the person(s) is the one who should look inside him/her self and think for themselves what they sould/shouldn't do. i'm not a rapist or murder but i think that they did what they thought they should do and that's all we can ask of them and all we can really do is try to convince them other wise.

Common sense? I dunno but I still think Judging is wrong.
And sometimes murder can be justified like Assassinating some dictator that kills thousands, it's murder but hey?
Also what if some guys beats his wife every week for like 20 years and one day she snaps and murders him even though they were making love or something...
And then theres rapist, most all rapist were once raped and abused as children so yes even THEY were victims once, really bad cycle

it depends what you mean by judging. usually when people say "its wrong to judge" they mean judge on the basis of "trivial" things, like personality or appearance. I think very few people really believe that its wrong to judge on issues like rape and murder.

Congratulations you have just proved that judging is not always wrong.
Often judging by a person qualified to do so (i.e. a judge) is right.
