Arts & Humanities - 25 August 2006

Each year we have area designers each design one month of our company calendar and this year we wanted a theme of something relevant to the times, to terrorism, to ethnic/sectarian conflict, to hope for eventual resolution of the world’s enduring conflicts. Sounds serious, I know, but we could position it a peace calendar.

I need help articulating these thoughts in such a way that the designers will create something relevant and in tune with the theme.

Any body else ever.......?

Does anybody else ever watch a movie trailer and wonder if they would be alive to actually see that movie? It's a strange feeling to have, and I have it everytime I see trailers at a movie.

Why is it when everything seems to be going so right something goes so wrong?

I mean lifes such crap sometimes and yeah i know " life sucks get over it" but lately it just seems more down hill than ever and im just sick of it.. dose anyone else miss when you were younger and so care free ? god i just need a brake from it all but than again dont we all? feel free to comment anything on this i mean im just thinking out loud!

Whether Charles I of England was such a bad guy? Or a victim of the times and of the civil war?

Everybody disagrees with me on this point, considering what he had done to parliament. But honestly does not Charles reflect a pure King? Considering England had previously had 2 Queens, a child and a Fop. Charles seems to been stable and a pious man, who simply was a victim of circumstance as opposed to his own failings as a king (though one can recognize a failing in the fact he failed to grasp change).

Right here goes. Have you ever seen the top of buildings from afar do you know what I see. Well it looks like a computer board with little digits and sockets waiting for the right time to be plugged in. H.G.Wells wrote war of the worlds what if he had been correct.
