I thought it was an absolutely amazing look at our culture and history, and how easily we screwed it up. I also liked how, even though it was a little offputting at first, it was well presented from an "outsider" viewpoint. Having a person tell Ishmael's story wouldn't have been the same.

Very thought-provoking read I would recommend to anyone.
