Yes, the Atlas Mountains in North Africa are on the edge of the Sahara. There are mountains in deserts in northwest China too, and of course Afghanistan.

Oh, yes. Climbed Mt. Sinai, the all edged Mt. from which Moses received the 10 Commandments. As desert a landscape that you would want to see. (Located in the Govern orate of Sinai. Egypt.) Just one example. I could bore you to death.

I will say this because I live in a desert, Yes, we have Mt. Charleston and Nevada is a Desert!
But I think deserts consists more of the plains. Desert Plains...

Yes, they do. The southwestern part of th US is a large desert with many mountains, in fact there are large desert areas that are 5,000 to 6,000 feet above see level.

"Desert " describes the amount of moisture in a given area, they can be hot or cold, plains or mountainous.
