I just saw a story about polygamy in the U.S. that took the expected and perhaps appropriate moralistic tone, but it didn't (as stories of this nature rarely do) bother dealing with why polygamy isn't acceptable, other than that it's unconventional in Western culture. So this made me think about whether an argument could be made that it is necessarily, intrinsically immoral.

Obviously sarcastic humor uses sarcasm, but can someone provide me with examples of that? And what makes a sense of humor dry?

I'm doing a paper on names and how they play into a character's trait. If anyone could suggest books where a (preferably main) character's name is "Leon" it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, the same question applies for the name "Noel

I like both Granny Weatherwax and Cmdr Samuel Vimes, but for me the most interesting charcters were:

Tiffany Aching (Wee Freemen and Hat Full of Sky)

and Polly from Monstorus regiment

Also, I admit, I smile anytime an Igor show's up.

With the l year anniversary of Katrina, there are prades and celebration. It's wonderful to thank God for your life, but what about the people still living in FEMA trailers that have to find other living quarters, people who were financially disabled, the loss of pets and family. Are some of you upset with this happiness portrayed?

I can't find the word repore (as in we had a wonderful repore together) in Word spellcheck, on dictionary.com or the online webster dictionary. I know I spellchecked it a couple of months ago, but now the word has disappeared.

Earth is generally being hit by small astroids that are taken care by its atmosphere. Other planets and moons are hit by big astroids so freqently that if earth is hit with similar frquency, in every 10000 years life would be totally destroyed; every 1000 years a continent would go, every hundred years a country or city would go. Does that not prove that there are divine/supernatural powers/Cosmic Heirarchy; that takes care of such matters?
