Psychopaths don’t feel guilt.

I reckon a lot of people will think you are sick and or stupid. I've been to Iraq a couple of times and I've seen kids with similar thoughts. What it would be like and whether you would be able to do it when the time comes. In reality you are just young , inexperienced and not mature enough to know any better. You kill when you have to and it is nothing to be proud of. You do it because at the time it has to be done. Maybe someday you will get to experience somebodies gruesome death up close and personal and then you will understand that there is nothing noble in death and that it is not a game like PlayStation. This is for keeps. I had soldiers who talked negatively about the "rag-heads" and then one day out prisoner of war camp got hit by mortars and had a round hit on the ridge pole of one of the prisoner tents and killed and wounded many Iraqis. We had to fly out 45-50 prisoners that night. It took three washings to get the blood out of my uniform. Those soldiers of mine that spoke so dramatically about killing Iraqis seen the real suffering war can cause and that night there was no Iraqis only humans that was suffering and needed help. Everyone did the best they could to keep those guys alive. Hopefully you grow and mature enough to change your thoughts without having to learn the hard way.

Your a nutjob so go back to playing with your X Box and leave the real fighting to the real Marine's.
Killing people isn't the answer but Marines are well trained in that area for a reason. With that comes the responsibility of being a Marine and having the discipline to know when to and when not to take a life.

I suggest that you rethink your decision. If you were to tell the recruiter that you wanted to join because you wanted to go to Iraq and kill people, they would turn you down flat.

You need to talk to someone about this. It is ok to be upset and angry about the whole Iraq situation, but wanting to go over there to kill other human beings suggests that you have a psychological problem that needs to be addressed.

Please seek help right away. I will be praying for you!

To Kill People.
Not just the supposed enemy?

No, you shouldn't feel guilty but you should consider getting some professional mental health issues dealt with before you sign up.

Being a member of any of the armed forces is about protection. Sometimes that job requires killing the perceived enemy.

One should never join the armed services just to kill people.

One of the definitions of sociopath is the inability to feel empathy or guilt. Are you a sociopath? I believe our mission as defined by Bush is to bring stability to Iraq not to "kill people". Matter of fact, there are soldiers on trial right now for killing people without cause or provocation while they were stationed in Iraq.

I suggest you engage a therapist before you hurt somebody.

Why feel guilty? So long as you respect and follow orders and the Geneva Conventions and do your job, you are just what the Marines need. Keep your motivation to yourself. Assuming, arguendo, that your statement is serious of course. Just tell them that you want to serve your country and you're prepared to do what you're told.

Which, doubtless, will be to kill before you are killed.

If you want to kill people just for the sake of killing than yes, you should feel guilty. If you want to kill them because that's whats right, than you don't have to feel guilty.

REALLY? ARE YOU A SOCIOPATH?

I WOULD THINK THAT YOU MIGHT NOT PASS THE MENTAL FITNESS EVALUATION.....

THE MARINES DO NOT WANT TO HIRE THOSE WITH THEIR OWN OBJECTIVE.
THE GUY NEXT TO YOU HAS TO BE ABLE TO TRUST YOU WITH HIS OWN LIFE, AND KNOW YOU HAVE HIS BACK.
NO ONE TRUSTS THOSE WITH THEIR OWN AGENDA.

BUT WHO KNOWS, THEY MIGHT JUST HIRE YOU AND BEAT YOU DOWN AND BUILD YOU BACK UP THEIR WAY, AND BRAINWASH YOU TO THINK AS A PART OF THE WHOLE UNIT....THAT IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT. UNFORTUANTE BUT NECESSARY. AND IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT AND COMPLY, YOU WILL BE DISHONORABLY DISCHARGED ON GROUDS OF MENTAL UNFITNESS.

CHANCES ARE, IF YOU DO NOT FORM A UNIFIED FRONT WITH YOUR COMRADES, AND YOU GO OFF AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN PERSONAL AGENDA, YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY END UP BEING KILLED YOURSELF, AND MUTILATED AND DRAGGED THROUGH THE STREETS BY INSURGENTS WHO WANT TO USE YOU AS AN EXAMPLE.

DEATH AND KILLING ARE NOT AS GLORIOUS AS YOU THINK. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT YOU RUINED SOMEONE'S ENTIRE FAMILY'S LIFE. I HOPE YOU NEVER HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE HOW WRONG YOU REALLY ARE.

Why not become a police officer and intimidate people in airports with a gun and a german shepard instead. In fact, you can ride a bike or a Segway while brandishingly a machine gun.

Those Pakistanis will run from you in absolute fear; they may bow down and call you God.

At least you won't be shedding blood.

No. Just make sure you kill only when they give you such orders, or in self defense.
Now if you will get the urge to kill on your own volition -- get psychiatric help.
